I cashed out today, and instead of the usual notification from Paypal of a payment received, I got the old-style notification email from Prolific saying I'd be paid within 5 days. And no sign of payment yet, a couple of hours later. My account page on the website says "PENDING CASHOUT". Is the Paypal cashout not instant any more?
How many cashouts have you done? I think the first three I had to wait 5 days for, but now they're all instant.
Of course if you have cashed out many times already, and it used to be instant, that's another matter entirely!0 -
I only joined a couple of months ago, I've never had to wait five days for a cashout, but the first four were only processed on Tuesdays or Fridays.
Just had a survey that included a question about what percentage of my fee would I be willing to donate to a specific type of charity. I find this type of question odd, not only I don't like to be pressured in to giving or spending money so that would make it an instant no decision even if I would normally give to the charity, I don't see how they can get a fair indicator of charitable intention in general, or for that charity in particular from such a question.0 -

I did the same one, assuming it was 'News Event Reaction Study'. As the news event was hypothetical and no actual charity organisation was named , the question was probably just to see how willing you'd be to support such a cause rather than an actual payment request. I have had studies in the past though which asked if I'm willing to donate part of my reward to a particular charity or sign a petition - I usually decline unless it's something I support. Sometimes you get told at the end that the question was just to see how concerned you are about the particular issue and that you won't need to really pay/sign anything.0 -

Assuming this one arrives in the 5 days and the next one goes back to being instant, I'll put it down to a one-off glitch. If it's 5 days again next time, I might contact Prolific about it.
<edit> I just got the payment, which presumably means it went out on the Tuesday & Friday schedule.0 -
I have been using the site for a few months now and has been working fine, been able to cash out about 4 times now without issue."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

Did anyone ever get the bonus that was promised in this study?
Survey and decision making (part 2)
Hosted by Karolina Scigala
£0.555 minutes £6.60/hr 0 places remaining
You are invited to this study because you participated in the 'Survey and decision making' study that took place between 4th and 6th of September 2019.
This is the second part of the previous study. It includes a decision making task. You will have a chance to win an incentive of up to £30.
In my profile I've accepted studies where I may be deliberately be given false information but I didn't think it would be with regard to payment or bonus. I completed part 2 on 12/09.Saving a house deposit. Member no.7 100% of target

I didn't receive the bonus either so I sent a message to the resercher.
This is her reply on 31 Oct.
Dear Participant,
I am sorry for a delayed response. The bonuses were assigned on the base of a lottery. We have already sent all the bonuses.
Best,
Karolina
I feel cheated as Player 1 decided to pass £10 to me and my roll of dice 6 should have given me £30 bonus.0 -

Did you receive a bonus on part 1 as well?
Strange, bonuses were meant be £6, 12, 18, 24 or 30 depending on the die outcome.0 -
