I'd sooner use a separate throwaway address when I don't know what it's going to be used for.

Its your Prolific address - whats the big deal? Not like you use it for anything personal (or shouldnt).

Just did a Sheffield Uni study on politics which has left me in a grump (think that was the purpose of the study actually) and in the debrief there was this:

Because if a throwaway address starts receiving spam, I can throw it away. I need to keep my Prolific address, so I can receive email from Prolific, so I'd sooner not have it receiving spam as well.

Did anyone else do a £4 study about career progression in organisations on 12th November.
It's still waiting to be reviewed, and I remember thinking at the time it was a lot of money for what I actually had to do.
Wondering if the researcher is having second thoughts. How long would you leave it before chasing up?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

After 22 days submissions are automatically approved by Prolific and the reward added to your account (see the FAQs). I've had this happen once, when the researcher never got around to approving it. Mind you, you can always contact the researcher and ask whether there is any problem with the study - they may reply and say it's just a matter of waiting until all submissions have been reveiwed, or something like that. But if they don't reply, you'll still get your money after the three weeks.

I couldn't do it in the practice but managed to do all the ones for the last task. Really tricky though.

  • I found it easier to make the path first and then do all the directions last. I got all the planes to fly.

Regular occurrence with me. usually get 3 or 4 per month that take the full 21 days to approve. Currently waiting on two that were completed 2 weeks ago.

Had a frustrating one today, was a part two was down as suitable for mobile so opened it on my phone at lunchtime, the first page once you started the actual survey says this probably won't work on phones, carried on to the next page anyway and surprise surprise it didn't work. Had to return and have messaged them, so will be interesting what they say.
