I have noticed i sometimes get studies that pop up with the prolific assistant but not on the main page...
Does this happen with anyone else?
Yes, I'm finding the assistant a bit hit or miss these days. I'm regularly alerted to a study that has no places left . I've also had alerts for studies that I don't qualify for based on my profile questions.Saving a house deposit. Member no.7 100% of target

Yup i find it odd as some studies pop up that i am eligible for however they do not come on the main screen.
So basically i would only know about them is if i have my PC/Laptop out but when checking on my mobile device i won't even know about them.0 -
Any other Prolific 'old timers' enjoying a recent modest surge in studies?
The last 3 months or so have been much better for me than the previous couple of years. I am getting something most days and don't check all that frequently, usually early morning and early evening whereas I'd got used to 'famines' of 2 weeks or more.0 -

Although I've only been with Prolific for around 4 months, November has far and away been the highest earning for me (and we're not even halfway through!). Perhaps it's the time of year that academics like to conduct surveys - who knows.0 -
I have money sitting in my account because I don't really like using PayPal. It's a shame Circle folded and Prolific haven't answered my questions on whether they're looking at introducing an alternative.
Since I answered a screening question about supervising employees, 90% of my surveys have been about my experiences dealing with employees who have behaved a certain way at work. It seems like business schools all over the world are researching the exact same things and it is getting incredibly tiresome. I complete almost identical questionnaires multiple times a week.0 -
Bizarrely I have "my first study" available, from Prolific - despite having used this platform over 3 years!Debt: May 15: £17335 Jul 16: £13874 Jan 17: £11,606 Dec 18: £8,308 Sept 19: £4,969 Jul 21: £890

Same here...did you complete it?
I did but I kind of raced through it....I was unsure if it was blocking other studies!

I'm finding this. While it is a little samey, at the end of the day I would rather have a set of samey surveys then no surveys at all.Debt: May 15: £17335 Jul 16: £13874 Jan 17: £11,606 Dec 18: £8,308 Sept 19: £4,969 Jul 21: £890

I cashed out today, and instead of the usual notification from Paypal of a payment received, I got the old-style notification email from Prolific saying I'd be paid within 5 days. And no sign of payment yet, a couple of hours later. My account page on the website says "PENDING CASHOUT". Is the Paypal cashout not instant any more?0
