Did anybody do this Project a while ago? I've done it and it's been approved, but it's still sitting in the Projects tab. There were 3 surveys apparently, but you could only do one.

Will this ever disappear, or do completed Projects stay in the tab forever?

    I understood,

But It usually says ignore the prompt (as the prompt is infact for the AI to have done something) I've never had one where I can change the edit from this researcher

    It is very oddly worded

I've several projects sitting in that tab. I'm fairly sure the guidance given was that projects could have follow-ups where the original participants will be surveyed again and given an opportunity to get another payment. So it makes sense for the project to stay for the necessary time until the follow-up comes around.

Anyone else struggling with the English Video Conversation study? My first attempt, it said the audio wasn't any good so I adjusted my settings and restarted the laptop and tried again. Then when I tested the audio I could hear it perfectly played back, but in testing it, it just went round and round forever and never moved off the screen. Gave up in the end and cancelled participation.

Sure, but quite a few of them you have to be very careful of. I've noticed a number previously, where they haven't worked properly and the sound icon has been restricted/grayed out. If you return these on the grounds of technical error, it seems overwhelmingly likely that you will get warnings or even some kind of restrictions from doing them again. The fact that it is the researcher's (or company's) error appears irrelevant. People complain to Prolific, but seems to fall on deaf ears.

I wonder if there are so many is that a number of participants got wise to it, and worry about any potential flags on their account, so simply don't do them now.

Some of them are getting a bit odd.
I had another one of the ones where you have to judge which of the two is following the game controls the best. The correct answer is neither of them but you get a warning if you say that too much. And then yesterday I had one where I had to decide which would be best on TikTok or Instagram. As don’t really do either of those, I just had to pick which one I found most entertaining.
I was much happier when I was deciding which graphs were more accurate.

I’ve returned 2 today where the prompts have been in Russian. Both videos were completely different so there was no way of knowing what the intention was!

Yes 'a bit odd' is about right.

I'm imagining being a fly on the wall in one of their research meetings, when someone is presenting their findings about what people thought of the videos.

"Here's what we found, but we told people to totally disregard the quality of the sound, video, and quality control issues" well, it's a video. what else is there apart from video, sound, and quality?
