I've not done any of these studies as my screen resolution isn't what they needed. I'm still offered them. It's getting to ridiculous numbers though - over 500 of these studies this morning. I haven't blocked the researcher as I'd thought maybe they might have other studies I'd want to do.

Thanks very much, george4064 and Value. That is reassuring because I was beginning to wonder if it was maybe as a result as something like a virus. The scan I did on my laptop was clear.

Yep I have 300 of them currently sitting on my dashboard ha. I do actually do these when I have time as I find them fairly interesting and easy and they end automatically on 15 mins, so I don't have to remember when I started like with some of the AI ones. And they pay immediately once submitted. BUT I have to change my laptop display resolution setting each time I do a batch, which is annoying! If they are still there this afternoon after work then I'll do a bunch - but definitely not 300 😂

Was accepted for Prolific a few days ago. Any tips for a beginner please?

Be honest! They'll pick up on inconsistencies if you repeatedly change your answers in the 'About me' for example.

And remember that these are mostly academic studies, on which somebody's PhD may depend - they are not like the sort of surveys you get on other portals where people sometimes just enter the answers they think are wanted. Be truthful, be honest, and you will be well paid!

I'm assuming some or maybe most surveys will be for pc? And are they restricted to chrome browser?

A few are restricted to Chrome browser - but most of the surveys I do work on my safari browser. I have also installed the chrome browser so that I can use that for those that specify that - but there are very few of them (at least for me) that do specify the chrome browser.

Like others have said, don't lie. Firstly you don't have to remember your lies if you are honest. Secondly you may not feel that unique but most of the time researchers aren't looking for unique. They are looking for an average cross section of society, and you fit in there just fine as you are.

I had the same issue at first, but managed to change something on the display menu of my computer (I think mine was set to 80% rather than 100%). They are worth messing around with the settings for
