  • iona and narco, I had horrendous shoulder pain about 3 years ago and eventually had one steroid injection into the back of my shoulder joint - it fixed the pain from that side, but didn't/couldn't touch the pain at the front - however, over the following year, whilst trying to keep it gently moving as much as possible and frequently massaging the painful bit (which Himself helped out with at times, spreading out to include my neck and under my shoulderblade - which found quite a few yelping spots and, according to him, quite a bit of gentle crunching and a few 'ting' sounds), a moulded neck pillow and lots of random pops and clicks, it's pretty much perfect now and has been for the last two years.

Granted, mine was definitely inflammatory rather than wear and tear, but I guess that's why I had to have steroids.

I won't be doing any handstands in the near future - not that I ever particularly wanted to attempt such shenanigans in any case - but my expected 'permanent pain' wasn't anything like it.

Somewhat miffed I'm still awake. He's been sleeping since well before midnight after complaining of his face hurting a bit. Against my usual grumpy cow persona, did a bit of face massage around the eyebrows, cheekbones and ears and he was out like a light. If I'd known I was going to still be up and bored by now, I'd have probably left him to suffer.

I did, however, suggest that it might be a reaction to the amount of dust/cat hair on the stairs and landing whilst he was still conscious. (why is there no devil smiley for such machinations?)

He's off DJing a kids' party tomorrow afternoon - if I'm awake, I'm trying to decide whether I CBA to trundle off to the blue and yellow land of bookcases to pick up a second moulded pillow for his benefit or to witter away some money on eyelash extensions, as the meds have meant that mine are looking a lot shorter and thinner than they've ever been before. And everybody who knows me would probably agree that I would benefit from something that makes me look a bit more awake. Or I could just go for a swim.

No cleaning or tidying features in this plan. Naturally.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

  • Morning all,

DS had a fairly settled night in the end, thankfully. DH gone to work with a mild hangover :rotfl: and I'm having a cuppa contemplating getting up! Kiddies eating weetabix.

I have loads to do today, starting with laundry. Have also decided to replace my current bedside drawers with the set from the spare room, so lots of pulling out of furniture and hoovering will be done.

Need to visit Aldi, cook a chicken dinner, do some admin for DH and I've promised the kids we will bake.

More fleabay listing tonight too. Have lovely days all xx

    Morning.

I spent a fair amount of time yesterday researching something that could be a massive change for our family. Nothing certain yet, so it wasn't really necessary to look at it already, but I kind of got sucked in.

However, I turned the single peaked Mt Washmore into a range of hillocks and fed the WM throughout the day, which is paying off.

Today I have church, skype tutoring, face-to-face tutoring and a quick shop before spending time in the kitchen sorting food (and WM x lots more). At some point DS2 also needs to be collected from his sleepover.

    Happy Sunday, everyone!

    Morning :hello:

Thank you lynne and Narc0 xx

Sum total of flying yesterday afternoon was: filled the salt pot; decanted a small bottle of lemon juice down the sink (best before 02/17!!) - bottle to be rinsed and recycled; read and recycled two magazines.

DS doesn't know your DD pigpen. He used to go to Gardeners when he lived in your neck of the woods in his 2nd and 3rd years at Uni, but they were at Sugar Mill (which is now called something else - could be Attic ?? Can't remember) on Friday night. DS's claim to fame when he arrived home was that he'd been asked to leave for being too drunk TWICE and walked straight back in the front door. He was so proud of this 'achievement' he'd tried to phone a friend to tell him. Said friend being sound asleep in bed at stupid o'clock had his phone on silent
and woke up next morning to a text informing him of DS's amazing talent.

This morning: I'm washed and dressed, bed is made, windows and curtains opened upstairs, and cuppa tea has been slurped.

    Round 1 =
    - put out rubbish & recycling
    - feed birds (oh oh there were three great tits on the wire when I
opened the curtains this morning. I didn't know that's what they
were: the wonders of Google. My first fairies :D)
    - WUDUPA x 1
    - WM x1 + laundry shuffle
    - Sweetie's seed & water

Better crack on then - back later

Hope everyone has a good day. Healing vibes being sent with love to aches and pains afflicting my lovely ladies xx

Round.. She has worked there a while, it is where I meet my friend for lunch too... but yes it is Atik now.. it is still where those who haven't hooked up for the night end up though lol.. My daughter and my sister have been taken home by the doorstaff at Spiders (he will know Spiders.. it is a rite of passage) because they were too drunk to get a taxi.. so that is a normal weekend here lol..

Twinkle shrieking for Bing but she is going in the bath.. she smells of honey and it is gross..she is now running about starkers! .. OH has been asked to work an extra 2 hours tonight and we need the money. He has also swapped his day shift for evening shift with a colleague.. so he can take his dog to the vet of all things... so he is doing 7 hours instead of 5.. but it will buy an extra 2 days of food I guess

Well the lack of bloat from meat and bread and the reduction in sugar intake has made a difference to my slinkiness.. 6lb down.. 5stone to go lol.. it's a start, right?!

£30 more in ebeast.. *FLING* .. I MUST get more listed, I did put some on FB to fling.

Off to juggled my February budget.. the DD's come out Thursday but I have no quids until Friday so I need to conjure up enough to cover that.

DD3 is going to get a slap in a bit.. she is being a total witch to the smalls..

is it too early for vodka?? Can I be Polish today? They drink it with their cornflakes!

why has the ability to edit your posts been removed? How are new lists supposed to be added if the first post cannot be edited? ... how can we go back and correct spelling errors or cross of what we have achieved??? That is super-sucky!

6lb down is a jolly good start I'd say :D Well done :T

Re: editing -I thought I was doing something wrong and couldn't work out what. That's why my last post looks a mess :( I went back in to edit it and received a message saying you can only edit for 0.5 minutes after posting. 'Since when?' says I.' And how is this going to work then?' :(

Round 1 is completed + I carried on with the WUDUPA until there was none left to do chez Roundtuit - even baking trays have been degrotted and put away. :j:T

Is it warm? Or is it me? My forehead is leaking!

I need to eat but I don't want to mess up any pots.
