Yeah thats what I thought, I've been POCVA'd numerous times which I know is not necessarily the same thing but it's all good. Yeah Law tutoring may be an avenue to look down. Just need to bring in a little more money for the next year or so whilst I pay off my professional fees0

Just to reassure private tutors, they DON'T have to register with ISA, or CRB for that matter. Thanks to The Tutor Pages for this in their blog (type tutor blog vetting into Google)0

Best of luck jalfrezi!
I got another request off first tutors today for 4 hours of Politics tuition but all my evenings are filled up now. Hope they can do it in the daytime as they seem really keen to work hard. Yet more A Level folders to dig out from in the cellar if so!0 -
Finally freed up some time as x3 students have now done 11+. Was looking forward to a free evening and blow me, the next day get x2 queries and now am ful up again.

Just an update, I took on my third student doing Politics! It is harder than teaching French like I do with my other two, but I am enjoying it so far as my student is very motivated and wants to do well in her A Level to get to university next year
Hope everyone else is keeping up and still has some time left to relax!0 -

What do you mean, Amy? Tutoring IS relaxing! Far more relaxing than sitting doing a meaningless, soul-destroying office job!*removed by forumteam - please do not advertise in signatures*0 -

OK I concede your point! I have had some really great lessons this week and as all my students are only a little bit younger than me, I feel like I have made a couple of good friends too! I have been helping with UCAS forms a bit lately, brings back memories.
Wonder how jalfrezi is getting on- are you there?!0
