euronorris I’m in awe of your analytical skills! It’s all I can do to keep track of the adding up.
Need to update my signature with spends over the last couple of days. Will do it tomorrow as coping with a bit of a meltdown and a sick kitty today:(
Hope everyone else is ok. Lovely sunny day today but waiting for next week’s big chill...LBM 23/09/13 - DFD 08/10/17 :T0 -
Haha, it's all thanks to excel. I keep a tally of everything I spend in an excel spreadsheet over the month, and I put the shop name in the column to the right of it as I do so. At the end of the month I tally up for each of the shops, and then I can compare to the previous month. It's all formula driven, so I don't have to do much.
Hope you're OK Lalalalindy xFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Well, I blew the budget, spent £140 but I am not too sad.
As well as the weekly shop, I restocked the freezer with a lot of meat on offer, so that should save me in March and most of April.Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Evening all
So far this month I have spent £149.08 of my £150 target. I have 92p left to last me until Monday which is my pay day. I know I will need milk but I don't think anything else and there is still enough food in the house to rustle up a few days meals for myself and my daughter. I am starting to get the hang of this grocery challenge ...I think! and have big plans for next month re more batch cooking. Looking forward to it.0 -

Hi everyone! Quick update: I stopped by a grocery store on the way home to buy stuff for dinner. Last night my OH's nephew strongly hinted at me cooking dinner at some point while they're here since he saw all the contents of our pantry, spice racks, etc. He was thoroughly impressed and wants to move in already. Haha. I made stir fried vegetables and pork belly with (basmati) rice. Success!
€9.72 at Delhaize: pork belly, ginger, and two bags of stir fry vegetables.
These lousy kids, eating me out of house of home! :rotfl: Tomorrow they're taking a train to town about an hour away so they're on their own for food for the most part.
Totals So Far:

I love a good excel spreadsheet! Mine is not sorted per shop but I have been mainly shopping in one place for years and only recently branching out so that info isn't useful to me at the moment! I would love to categorise all shopping so I could work out which areas I could cut down on like snacks, meat, etc. But I think the time taken to go through every item on my receipts would not be worth it at the moment!Grocery Challenge 2019 YTD-£820.46/£7200(11%)

I did a bit of a stock up in advance of next weekend when we have guests coming to stay. Not everything we'll need by any means but I've made a start. £18.63 spent - a lot of it on cheese!
