Regular Saver Thread **New and Restarted**

I've just tried to take some money out of the Man Utd Red Devil E-Saver (paying 1%, I assume the Red Devil RS matured to this account) and I got this message "Unfortunately you cannot choose this account. Please select another account or call us on 0345 607 6991 for more information." I didn't try to close the account. Before I contact them I was wondering if any of the RS experts in this thread could let me know if this is normal?

I noticed the site is due to be down for some time over the weekend for 'improvements', so didn't waste any time getting my application done.... just in case the 'improvements' are not to our benefit!

I was told yesterday by my branch that a new Nottingham Regular Saver will be launched on April 6th.
I do not know the rate of interest but keep an eye on their website

I was told it's a security check when I experienced the same message. Phoned and they unlocked my withdrawal access on the account.

Apparently because I changed the nominated account recently.

A basic question which would make my life easier - must my monthly payment always be paid in on the same day of the month or later?

IE. MY first payment was made on 16th of the month so I can't pay in till the earliest the 16 of the following month or can I pay it in on the 1st of the following month?

Which account?

Most (e.g. Virgin) allow the payment to be made on any day of the month, defining month as 1st to 28th/29th/30th/31st of the month.
