Hi Folks,
I cannot see anything that has changed for this weekend's update.
I will do the next update next weekend.

For those new to this thread, the first few posts are constantly updated and are on the first page0 -

But, first page there reads...To open and operate this account you must have a suitable
First Trust Bank payment account e.g. Select Deposit Account or
Current Account.
I can't find any product of there's that doesn't require a current account, unfortunately. Not sure all the required leg work with ID proof is worth it in that case...maybe is for people in need of a reg saver that has decent interest for putting away 6,000 over the year.0 -
The Virgin Money regular saver issue 12 matures today. Does that mean the 3% rate ended at midnight last night or it will end at midnight tonight?
:beer:God save the King!
I'll save Winston Churchill, Jane Austen, J. M. W. Turner and Alan Turing.0 -

Thanks for your email.
Before you can open a Regular Saver account, you need to be an existing account holder with First Trust Bank.
You will therefore have to go into a First Trust Bank branch with the required identification and open a Classic current account.
Once the current account is opened, you will be eligible to open a Regular Saver account.
You can find a full list of acceptable documentation on our website at https://firsttrustbank.co.uk/verification-of-identification *
As you do not have any photographic identification, an Electoral Card is accepted.
If you do not have an Electoral Card, you will need to get one before we can open your account.0 -

I called them today. She said you had to apply in Branch because they would need to see the photo ID.
Also the application on the link given above is Fixed Rate Saver, not regular saver.
I wonder if anyone else has managed to apply via post ? If yes, where did you get the application Form ?0 -

I've just trekked into store to close this down. After a kerfuffle about something it was done, I'm now back in the house and noticed that the interest hasn't been added on! Sheesh.0 -

I went in today as well. Virgin Money said it did not mature until the end of today (2/9/2019), but was instant access so I could still close the account. Pity they could not say that in the maturity letter0 -
"I wonder if anyone else has managed to apply via post ? IF yu where did you get the application Form ? "
