Just received a letter this morning for my Monmouthshire account, with a form filled in with the details I entered online, a pre-paid envelope, and a request for a cheque for my opening deposit.

    Same here - very efficient.

    Quickety slick

So we all might hear around Wednesday. Did the letter say how future payments are made and if there is any online access?

No - it just tells you to return the documents enclosed with a cheque drawn in your favour on your personal bank account.

Me too. The pre-filled form does not include my NI number, and the accompanying letter does not ask for it to be added.

Their other RS has online access, so.. likely.

My letter and form arrived today too, my letter does ask for my NINO and highlighted on the form....strange!
  • Strangely the address on the envelope isn't in Monmouthshire.

When I opened my Issue 1 account they phoned me up to ask for the NINO as I'd not filled it in on the form. If they have to have it for HMRC reasons then they will keep asking until they get it, I guess.

That is rather odd. Perhaps I'd better add mine to save some potential hassle at a later date! Though they also said that an electronic check to verify my ID had been successful, so maybe they can get the NI number from that?

I don't particularly mind them having it but their application process should really have flagged it up as error that it had not been completed and, as has been mentioned, I don't believe there was an asterisk indicating a required piece of information as is usual.

They also don't appear to be consistent as my reply was to someone who didn't complete the NINO information either and it hasn't been asked for in the paperwork they've received.

Hey ho, it's fine, I'll just provide the information they want as requested.
