I have a M&S joint account. Does anyone know if we can both have a regular savings account fed from the same joint account?0

"You can only have one M&S Monthly Saver at any time in your sole name.
If you have an M&S joint current account, only one of you can have an M&S Monthly Saver."

I no longer have a bank account with a cheque book. Anyone got any ideas whether you can get someone else to write a cheque for you to send to Monmouthshire?0

Nationwide printed me a one-off cheque in a branch when I didn't have my cheque book with me and needed a cheque to open a regular saver. Maybe other banks would do the same.0 -
Opened one of the above last week.I couldn't see where it limits you to one in the verrrrry long T&Cs.
One page account summary says "Only hold one of these accounts at a time".

Ask for your bank to send you a chequebook? Or a building society can do a society cheque there and then for you if you have one.0

Unless things have changed, most banks with a counter service will let you withdraw funds as a crossed cheque made payable to whoever you want. But wait and see what payee details are required first.
Given the holiday weekend and the time for cheque clearing, it is possible a cheque deposit would not be made until May so you could miss out on April's payment.
That said, they may allow a BACS transfer for the first deposit.0 -

If you'd watched the last bit of The Shawshank Redemption on ITV4 last night, you would have seen exactly how it's done!0 -
I logged on to my account hoping to find a link to go to what was on offer elsewhere (I have the RS Bond Issue 1) but found nothing.
Whether I was an existing customer was asked way down in the application but nevertheless I had to enter all my details over again. It seemed odd, but when it's 3% fixed - and £300! - it hardly matters.
PS: I've established the timing of my application and their 'TY for applying....' rejoinder via my browsing history. It may be useful.0
