I'm in the same position. As per my previous post, don't bother phoning. They won't help and will tell you to just go into branch to open another one.
I might be wrong but I am going to spare myself the experience - not least because I'd have to spend about half of the interest I could make from this account on the round trip to the nearest TSB Branch.0 -
The following is applicable to anyone with an active NW Flex Regular Saver 2 that is yet to mature.
Their current reg saver is labelled as 'Flex Regular Online Saver' which obviously still pays 5%.
The terms state:you can only be the first named account holder of one Flexclusive Regular Saver 2 or be an account holder of one Flex Regular Online Saver account at any one time, which can be held in either sole or joint names
But there's a glitch that allows you to open a Flex Regular Online Saver whilst having an active Flex Regular Saver 2. Simply apply for a Flex Regular Online Saver whilst logged in (worked on mobile/tablet app for us).
Once logged in, the application process takes less than 2 minutes and the account can be funded immediately. I think their system recognise them as 2 different accounts (due to different names) which explains why a 2nd reg saver can be opened.
Before anyone asks/tries, I attempted to open a 3rd reg saver (i.e. my 2nd Flex Regular Online Saver) but the system recognises that you already have one.
Can confirm the above worked for other family members so now we're all benefiting 5% on £500 per month for the next few months with NW.

Nationwide Flex Regular Online Saver
Thank you karlie88! I have just set up new regular savers for me and DH. Our Flex Regular Saver 2 accounts mature next month so we don't get that much extra saving at 5%, but every little helps!0 -
When my son complained yesterday about the TSB Regular Saver their complaints department told him that no action would be taken on his complaint until they receive a certain number of complaints about the same situation. They don't consider it an error and they said they had checked with their technical department and there was no problem on that side."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

Will be available from 2pm 7th December in branch for those waiting in eager anticipation.
Just had confirmation that Head Office have informed branch.

No I haven't, too busy. If I can't open it online, I don't want it.
And it's getting worse.
An hour ago, I had an email from TSB, thanking me for opening a Monthly Saver and reminding me to fund it. Needless to say, there is no sign of a Monthly Saver, either online or in the app. I suppose I should be grateful that I can still log in, and that my existing accounts are still showing.:rotfl:
I don't want to draw attention to my TSB 'exploits' so am reluctant to ring for what is very little monetary gain over straight easy access accounts.
I also thought it may be different for me as I didn't get the funding email.. but it turned up in Microsoft's useless junk mail process that allows half a dozen TSB 'important- haven't read message' mails through while blocking this one...0 -

I have previous experience of having two Nationwide regular saver products open at the same time in breach of the terms and conditions. I cannot remember the precise names of the accounts but one was a flexclusive regular saver (only available to certain current account holders) and the other was an "ordinary" regular saver, available without a current account.
Yes, the system allowed the second account to be opened but Nationwide were very quickly on to it and closed down the second account, moving the money (which included interest earned to the date of closure) to my current account.
I would suggest that it is not worth the time and effort involved in opening the second account which you know to be in breach of the terms and conditions.0
