Finally - have been waiting for this account to make an appearance online for several months!
On a side note - their classic plus is also available online. I may have to go and experiment.
You got me all excited then, all ready to apply for a joint account (already got individuals) but you have to go into a branch. If at first you don't succeed, sky diving is not for you!0 -
TSB Monthly Saver now opened. Was pain-free (surprisingly).
Not the most exciting of rates @ 2% - but it's easy access with no withdrawal limits so it makes it a fairly competitive account. I think I will drip feed £250 from Marcus every month.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

It's 4 December and Virgin hasn't released issue 14 of the in-branch Regular Saver.
Have they ceased this product? Certainly the e-saver seems to be dead.0 -
Have they ceased this product?
I went into the local branch at lunchtime to deal with a maturity and asked about an issue 14 - member of staff said they have had no notification of a new issue.0 -

I also went into branch today to deal with maturity of store issue 7 and enquired if there was any sign of issue 14. The lady had no idea what issue number they were currently on when I said I already had issue 13.0 -
You can apply for the 2% TSB Monthly Saver online now.
I tried applying moments ago but it fell over at the last step. Now I don't have the account visible on my Internet banking and I can't reapply because it says I already have one. Hopefully it'll show up tomorrow so that I don't need to contact them.
Did anybody else experience technical difficulties?
I phoned TSB today because the Monthly Saver hasn't appeared in my Internet Banking and I've had no other confirmations (email etc). The service person stated that people were having issues with online registration (I think generically, not product specific) and that I'd need to visit a branch to open the account. He had no ability to fix issue (as the account wasn't visible to him).
Bit of a pain as I don't really want to go into branch and now I'm left wondering if I'll ever be able to open one via Internet Banking again due to this rogue, non-surfaced account. I expect the people in branch will force a new monthly saver to be created, rather than investigating or fixing the issue with the existing, failed one.
Edit: Just had an email nagging me to fund the RS but I have no account details!0 -
I tried to open a TSB RS a couple of hours ago and got a "technical difficulties" message after the first step. This is farcical.0

Myself and MrsM opened one each this morning with no problems, only a couple of minutes each.0

I am not 16 years old or above
I am not resident in the UK or not a UK resident (wot's the diff???)
I have a Mayfair sort code (30-16-74)
I don't have a current account
I already have a Monthly Saver account
Needless to say, none of these reasons apply. I do feel sorry for people with a Mayfair sort code, too0
