Some great advice on here. Keep it coming.
  • Hi everyone

I'm looking for some advice and help, I have just enquired about becoming a party planner, the problem is I've only lived in this area for a few months and don't know anyone! I am planning leaflet drops and placing adverts in shops and the free adds paper, is it possible to build a business from this??

I am more than prepared to put in the work but I am feeling a little bit anxious about taking this on with no contacts within the community.

I think its all about finding a Company whose products do it for you. You have to love the products yourself and when i was looking for a company i also wanted a Company that would also give me lots of different ways to retail as well as giving me good quality and fair priced products. Its nice to be able to try different methods of retail and knowing if it doesn't suit you thats fine you just try another method or combination of methods.
We love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!

New to the site and this is my first post. I am looking to earn some extra money. Have previously done Avon and !!!!!!!! and would like to try something new. Would prefer not to do party plan, am more comfortable with door to door.
There seems to be a lot of new companies out there, would appreciate any advice. Please feel free to pm me with any info.
Oh yes, I really dont want to have to pay a great wad for start-up costs.
Partylite sounds interesting but not sure if you can do that door to door?
Am interested in cosmetics, perfume and jewellery but would consider other options.
    Thanks xx
    Hi there

  • Hi jazzyjam (love the name :) )
Have you had a look at the Body Shop thread yet love? I'm a Body Shop consultant and love it - very cost effective to run and good earnings to make :) I have tried more party plan/mlm companies I can count in the last few years and can honestly say this is the one where I actually earn money :)
    Good luck hunny :)

what a long thread to read through... no I couldnt do every page.

Great to see whats going on. _party_ PP is a great way of moving product.
Ive got a few people in my Kleeneze team that have gone this way as they abhor the idea of putting catalogs out. Awesome!!! It took me ages trying to find support stuff, games, plans etc as its not something that is usually associated with Kleeneze. Nuala McDonald in Ireland did build something huge on parties mind you.
I,ve had great success around Christmas with our seasonal brochure in the past. :xmassmile

I did read some posts about trying brochure drops etc.
Why not, it works for other companies, ours included. Give it a go. Be prepared for losses and refusals however. I would recommend door knocking and presenting as it keeps your losses down and gets your face known. Its not for everyone.

I have not tried this, but like other poster said, if it can help make money, that's great!
