Hi,
I have just recently started to get involved in party plan selling. And we all know the reasons why it is so attractive to get involved in it. But I think there is one thing that really matters in all of this. The customers at your party must feel that what they see is something they can't get anywhere else and is therefore special.
If you sell a product that is also available in many shops across the UK, or similar products are, it is so much more difficult.
You may have seen the advert or post of a new company, Peggy and Minnie on some sites. Their Crystal Kids birthstone charms are an example of a totally unique product. It is a real craze in the US and they have the exclusive rights here in the UK.
Something like that is bound to be a success if you can get to be one of their consultants. They are looking in Lincs, Cambs and Rutland at the moment. I found them by just googling Peggy and Minnie.
Good Luck!0 -
New to the site and this is my first post. I am looking to earn some extra money. Have previously done Avon and !!!!!!!! and would like to try something new. Would prefer not to do party plan, am more comfortable with door to door.
There seems to be a lot of new companies out there, would appreciate any advice. Please feel free to pm me with any info.
Oh yes, I really dont want to have to pay a great wad for start-up costs.
Partylite sounds interesting but not sure if you can do that door to door?
Am interested in cosmetics, perfume and jewellery but would consider other options.
Thanks xx0 -

I do partyLite and love it but can say honestly PartyLite does not work door to door. You can do door to door to get the parties but it's at the parties where the products can be seen and everyone can see the quality and smell the various scents, and the products do sell themselves but if it's door to door you want then maybe think of something else!I get paid to party!:rotfl:0 -
Hi
I do party plan with Jamie at Home. Jamie Olivers party plan business which was launched in March last year. I've been with them since October last year and love every minute of it. For those of you worried about start up costs, it normally costs £100 to start up with Jamie at Home but in the month of September you could get it for FREE.
I really love party plan as it fits in around my current commitments and i'm my own boss.
Please feel free to ask any questions. I love my job.........do you?

Hi I am a partylite consultant and although I get no hassle to have parties , I do feel that even after 7months I am not sure what I am doing. No one tells you how you build your stock up, do you add it to someone elses party or order it yourself? Awkward as you have goods sent to hostess home address? How do you go about getiing new fragrances - do you pay?0

I sell Barefoot Books, which are children's books. They've been going about 20 years, and their books are stunning, and quite different from the usual offerings. Many include story or singalong CDs.
It's free to join, there are no fees of any kind, and no money taken from your commission for starter kits etc. You get a free website too.
I'm also a Barefootbooks Ambassador and run it alongside my Wikaniko Biz as i think they really do complement each other especially if you do school fetes, books about animals, cultures and the Planet alongside eco-friendly products fits in with my ethics very nicely about educating people and looking after the Planet there is also great fundraising potential with Barefoot Books for community clubs, societies and schools, playgroups etc. If they join up and get orders for over £375 they get 50% commission which i think is fab.We love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!0
