:D I have the last dregs of a huge tub of Autumn Gold to use up, might even see if I can get that on the allotment shed today. Hoo boy, will I be glad to see the back of that darned stuff!

It is horrible, isn't it? I still have some to use up, unfortunately. The best you can say about it is that the neon orange shade does fade eventually.

:p A few years ago, Mum rang me from a bootsale to say there was a tub of Cuprinol going for £3, unused, did I want it? I said yes, because it's a good brand and the shed needed treating. Seems that the original buyer had opened the tub, taken one look, gone YUK and tried to return it and wasn't allowed to.

Cuprinol seem to have achieved the almost impossible feat of making a colour universally loathed!:rotfl:

We've had a second offer on the house, the EA is going to shake them up for best and finals to see if we can wring a bit more out of them. Both are chain free which weren't expecting at all, so we could be on the move sooner rather than later.

We decided on impulse to do a flying visit to our new house yesterday and spent the afternoon steaming and scraping wallpaper off the lounge ceiling. It's a big room and the paper had been up a long time, with a lot of paint including 2 coats we put on before we rented the house out. Couldn't finish it yesterday as OH's shoulder was too tired and I was struggling too. Finished it this morning. As suspected there are a lot of cracks so it will need replastering.

Confirmed what we already knew, the economy 7 meters are labelled up the wrong way round. Trying to convince the supplier of this is proving difficult.

Washed and line dried our winter coats, then stored them in the attic.

Put all my office wear in a small suitcase and then in the attic. It did not spark joy to see them hanging in my wardrobe every morning.

Retrieved my summer clothes from the attic and put them in my wardrobe.

DD1 asked if there were any nice dresses for her in the attic, which led to a fitting session, and to removing all the clothes from her wardrobe that she for sure will never wear. DD2 then sorted her clothes, too. :) Lots of items stored in the attic, either for donation to charity shop, for selling, or for donating to African relatives.

We emptied my mum’s attic on Sunday, so we’ll never need to go up there again.

There is a bit of stuff to sort, but it’s pretty easy to see what needs keeping, what’s for the tip and what’s for the CS. As there is a fridge to go she’ll book a collection for the whole lot.

:D Got a bag of Stuff outta here today, took it to work then on to a chazzer afterwards.

The square cushion sent back to the 'rents on Sunday is proving very popular with Mum, so glad I didn't get rid of that.

I KM'd two layers of plasterboard on the kitchen ceiling!

The vertical CD stack thing that got sent to a charity shop 2 weeks ago is being replaced by a bona fide kitchen cupboard, which has almost treble the storage space

    !!!
This cupboard is specifically where my tins of food go - it's really going to make storage a lot easier. Other things will as well, of course, but the tinned food cupboard is a doozy!

Agent managed to get a bit more out of the potential buyers, which covers about 2/3rds of the agency fees. We will accept the higher offer tomorrow. Spoke to the solicitor's office to see if the lady who handled our purchase a couple of years ago is still working there, which she is, but is on holiday til next week. But hopefully she won't be away again whilst we are trying to sell.
