Greenbee, you have really been successful at kondoing if those two large containers are now redundant! Well done!

:p I'd love your greenhouse but only have a pushbike so think I'll have to pass............ !

You know you'd love an excuse to be a van driver for a day ;) it's mostly deconstructed. Needs new seals and I'd recommend using new clips. The glass all looks ok although it may need one or two replacements. I think it's 6'x8' (ish).

Now I just need to kondo the mice from the attic....

:p Lol, yeah, but hire cost and diesel would make the freebie expensive, IYSWIM.

I may have wombled a steel bedframe dumped by our communal bins this weekend. Currently stashed in my storage shed, intended for the allorment and to be made into a fruit cage.

Some folk shop at garden centres and then there are the class acts like wot I am. *wanders off humming the wombles of wimbledom common* song. :rotfl:

  • Morning folks!

Some small things on the Kondo front:
    • Said goodbye to a jumper dress, that despite my best efforts, has never sat correctly on me
    • Rounded up some nice bits for a £1 spend secret santa
    • Kondoed a frog that was to spruce up my kitchen window (been looking at that frog since February)
    • Using up some of the yarn stash on a Christmas scarf
    Have a good one!

Hunting for some curtains in the loft - no joy as I think I kondoed them to the CS :( however, found two pairs that I will never use so will take those to the CS this week, both William Morris designs - one set was my mums so I think they've been in my loft for about 17 years! the other set were given to me and never used - both in perfect condition so about time someone else got the benefit of them. Shame about the grey shantung ones I kondoed though...........:(
Greenbee - no responses for my radiator but I'll give my scrap man a call. i'll also check that DH hasn't got anything lurking in the garage that could go as well.
Kondoed some cash to the tree surgeon ;) fruit trees look decidedly better and he did a tree at the front of the house for me which spurred me to do some more pruning. Front is all tidy now and ready for spring ;)

I wonder whether the scrap man would take my greenhouse?

I need to call the tree surgeons and see whether they'll do my hedge (like they said they would after they did the trees in the spring... )

I'm sure there would be a scrap man in your area Greenbee - but he'll probably only want the metal and not the glass :( If you were a lot closer I'd give you the number of mine!!

  • Greenbee, it seems a shame to scrap the greenhouse if it's functional. HAve you tried Freecycle or Freegle, or have you got a local allotment society, it would be worth asking if anyone would like it? Things like greenhouses and sheds are usually snapped up on our local Freecycle, and they would come and take it away for you.

Have you got any way of asking if a local allotment would collect , I know in my area they are always crying out for greenhouses

I have received my severance pay, so now I can close that part of my life. I have moved it to our savings account with the highest loyalty bonus, which you get if the money is untouched for a year. I know the banks' tricks: if you so much as remove one cent from that amount, you do not receive the bonus on the whole amount. So, I have moved the severance pay 200 euros at a time.... :) If I do need to touch some of that money, at least the other 'chunks' won't be affected.
