slinky I find the docking station with 2 screens fabulous. That said, can you make it the prize for sorting his office?

It's not that I mind him having two screens, except that when he's working he won't be here to use them! In the past 3 years he's only had 2 months at home (looking for work), plus when he's home at the weekends he doesn't use his office, it's just a dumping ground. In a few months I intend to stop working so he could have one of my two.

We're hoping to move next year and by then we'll slim down from 2 offices in the house to one. I'm desperately trying not to increase the amount of tech we have. One of my computers went bang a few weeks back, followed by its screen. I'm making do with using my existing desktop and one of his 3 (!!) laptops with a new screen attached. I'm prepared to let him have this new screen but he doesn't seem keen. We really won't need 3 laptops, one desktop, 4 screens and 2 tablets..........

    i feel your pain slinky
I have a confession to make - on saturday some items stayed in the wardrobe that shouldn't have. i hadn't quite tuned into the spark of joy. i've lost some weight (and toned up a dress size) so several 'useful' bits in the wardrobe were frankly too big. so today i went shopping. i know, early days for MK and i'm shopping already!!! except i knew exactly what i was shopping for. 1 black jacket, 1 pair of black work trousers, 1 shirt and 1 mini skirt (OK the mini skirt was an impulse buy). Even as i was buying them i could picture the clothes on the rail i needed to thank and release - 1 grey jacket, 1 blue fleece, another grey jacket, 4 shirts. no need to buy the shoes i wanted cos (ahem) realised i already had a pair! New clothes all hanging up. i need to be uber smart Thursday so that's sorted :-) i still have a much loved dress that has an unfortunate build up of deodrant. am going to try white vinegar soak then bio wash. if no success i will also release the dress with love.

  • Sounds as if you've got it spot on, Dundee Doll - the new stuff will be joyful and you know what to release. One of the best things about MK for me is that it's not prescriptive about how many items you have. I find the fewer clothes I have, the easier it is to look smart but I don't think it matters if you have 20 different tops, as long as they are all joyful and get worn.

Need to 'do' my clothes again, so I'm pulling them all into the same place. I'm going down with a cold, the weather is freezing and I am aching (RA) so it is so tempting to just crawl into the pile and hibernate :o

If I was rich I'd donate the lot and start again.... :rotfl:

Threw out a pair of black lace-ups, which still had a good top, but holes in the soles. First wanted to keep them for dry weather and commutes, but decided I was being stingy and have a new pair already.

Well done Siebrie... Part of MK is valuing yourself enough to not hang on to worn out clothes and footwear which has gone beyond the mending stage. I had to release a pair of boots which had been passed on to me, but they were synthetic and the top surface was peeling off.Binned.

Also released today - a pair of trousers, a spatula and a pair of tongs. All thanked and in the CS bag :)
