You have the same bank as me and I still can't get access today. Hope my pension went in tho when it was down. Also have about 6 dd that should have gone out about last weekend. The tsb is going to loose so many customers over this.

Reminds me that I must get a second current account up and running - I used to have one, but didn't use it properly, so it went dormant ... next month's task.

Yeah it sucks big time! Luckily I managed to get into mine yesterday morning to transfer some money to hubby before he went overdrawn but I'm locked out again now!

I got a print out of my balance yesterday but it didn't agree with what I knew was in there. However I managed to get in today and all was fine, all DDs had gone out and my income had gone in.

I was tempted to jump ship yesterday, when it got to midnight and I still couldn't get in, but their counter staff have always been so helpful and cheerful, unlike two other local banks I have had accounts with. This last week must have been a nightmare for them.

The dvd clearout continues, oh I remember, hangs head, when I bought all those sets for the christmas after hubbie died, never watched them until recently for the clear-out. I never got past 5 minutes with all the sets bar the onedin line, which hooked me from the beginning. The first 2 onedin series are going to dd and (whispering) I have ordered series 3. I got rid of over 80 dvds this morning and have several empty dvd files. I was enjoying the onedin line, while sitting with old laptop on the sofa

I sympathise re the banks, I have belt and braces approach, trusting that the current bank, halifax, has to honour any direct debits without charges. I keep smile for cc, minor current and minor savings and nationwide for minor current and major savings. Nationwide is a `local` physical bank as well as internet. I also keep a dedicated cash wallet, like a cash float and put a hefty chunk in every so often

I remember the Onedin Line when it first went out :rotfl: it was groundbreaking in its day!

You've reminded me, kittie - I need to throw out the dvds I recorded direct from the tv - the quality is appalling, its actually worse than the old video cassettes. And no subtitles, which I like to have these days :o

:) Oof, just sitting down with a cool glass of water after an episode of crawling around on my bedroom floor (all 3 ft x 5ft bit not actually under my bed). Have had everything out from underneath and vacuumed and sorted out.

Have found a pair of dead slippers (RIP) and enough dust to re-supply the Sahara.

:o Also found two skinny boxes of books, from the 'rents clear out, which were loitering up alongside the wall and which had somehow become invisible in the last few months, despite being only 3 ft from the bed. Anyone else have things like that happen in their rooms?

The dust is now inside Henri d'Vac and some things are in a charity shop bag which I shall take out at the weekend. Think the rag-bag will go along with this trip, as I've been adding to it as things wear out.

When one is purposefully wearing things out, adding them to the rag-bag is a cause for celebration not distress.:T

Righty, now going to lie on the sofa and have a wee rest.

True - I've been wearing things out here (eg socks/ kids' stuff) - but have also (sadly) worn out 2 of my favourite items of clothing :(:( Definitely not a celebratory matter - meh - I intensely dislike clothes shopping

I have another actual viewing this afternoon, not holding my breath as time after time they are disappointing, mostly due to poor photographs where important and unattractive detail has been missed out. Even the new housing estate, show home was all bling and 3/4 sized furniture and then she slips in that later releases will be considerably more expensive due to `market demand`, oh yes right! That is why they remain on RM

I quietly carry on with MK, not manic any more, just as and when. Tbh it is calming because all this RM searching makes my brain too whizzy. I started on another dvd set the other day and this one I am thoroughly enjoying, I sit sideways on a very confy sofa, laptop on a lap cushion and big feather cushion behind my back, drink (tea or rare GnT) on a side table and phone in case someone rings. This set is Jeremy Brett sherlock holmes and ordered in nov 2010, 16 discs and 4 tales on each one for £27 = 70p for a very pleasant hour of peace and calm. I will give these away in the case when I have finished. I see that the set now costs double

I am also finding that choosing what to wear when viewing is easy, now that I have arranged my wardrobe into 3 sections divided by trouser/skirts. I had a cotton sweat shirt on the other day but it is so sloppy around the neck, it even looks bad with a tea shirt underneath and I don`t want too much open neck when carving or especially on the allotment. I believe that I will be taking the two of that style out for removal to a recycle bin, sally army one on the way out later
