Perhaps you're just feeling lonely, who knows. I'd much rather have people's time invested in me - the real me - than in some character I've invented. They wouldn't really be giving me their time or attention then, would they.2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -

She's in her house. It's simple phone or front door (not that it matters given what looks like an interesting development),Fully paid up member of the ignore button club.If it walks like a Duck, quacks like a Duck, it's a Duck.0

If I/they did that to other posters with no justification, yeah that would be really mean. But speaking for myself, I have been on forums (moderated some too) for 18 years. I know them inside out. I've run my own chat rooms too. I know a fake post/user when I see one. That is not because I am 'nasty'. It is because I have a lot of forum/internet experience.

I would say the same thing. I'm not a nasty person in real life or on here, but it's actually not that difficult to spot a style of writing, a pattern of posting and a repetition of subject. It would be lovely to be able to take everyone at face value, but life's rarely that simple.0 -

I’d agree. I’ve been moderating a forum for over ten years now and most fakes are obvious
What I do find (sort of) interesting is that there are a couple of posters here who are much more circumspect in the way they post/respond to people who I am pretty sure are fakes as well. Just so much happens to them/they know so much.0 -
Anyone remember the poster a while back whose husband (I think he might have been a binman?) had an affair with 'Margaret'? that was a good one :rotfl:0

Wasn't that the poster previously known as Spinkz? Done it as a joke
Least his posts were obviously joke threads for the laughs0 -
For those of us who are or were unaware it is just a complete waste of our time and consideration.
This person is clearly a lonely attention seeker and needs help or is a total idiot thinking they are funny (and they aren't, it is actually quite pathetic, we are not 13year old children on this forum).
Surely there is a better forum for this sort of rubbish - how come the moderators don't do anything about it?0 -
