Fiscal Fast Day 199
Two days running for car boot sales and this time is was our weekly visit to Rosudgeon. Amazingly and quite unexpected DD2 and DD3 wanted to come (they normally complain like Billy O) but they and we had a really good time (it probably helped that we didn't go round together :rotfl: ) As always it was a mix of personal buys and re-sales.
On the way home we called in at Lidl and had a medium spend and Iceland, again a medium spend.
All in all for a Wednesday, not a bad day at all when it comes to spending"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0 -
Fiscal Fast Day 200
Wow- Day 200 - how time has flown since we first started this fast
To celebrate such a milestone I turned in a NSD - dead chuffed "One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0 -
Fiscal Fast Day 201
I never thought today would come but it has finally arrived
We set off today for the first part of our journey up to our DS wedding. Our first port of call is London to celebrate my Mum's 80th birthday.
As we expected in the holiday season, we had a slow but steady journey coping of course with this exceptionally hot weather. Our spends were linked in with having food at IKEA followed by a stop in Basingstoke at Morrison's where we picked up our meal deal.
LSD and we survived the heat "One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0 -
as a war-time baby I think I definitely qualify as an old woman
hope you have a fabulous day today xxx

Hope you all have a wonderful day - and well done on getting to day 200.
I had a look at the smallholding plot, it looks fabulous, imagine having those views to look at when you pause from tending your veggies.
Looking forward to hearing about the wedding!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0 -

Thank you JackieO"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0 -

Yes the plot is stunning...a girl can dream"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0 -
Fiscal Fast Day 202
Mum's 80th birthday went really, really well - an awesome time was had by all
...and a NSD"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0 -
Fiscal Fast Day 203
Today was our last day in London and we had a really lovely afternoon in Kingston Upon Thames.
Rather than pay extortionate car parking charges we parked on the outskirts for free and walked in. What a wonderful walk - Kingston is so full of historical buildings some of which we saw on our walk. I love sculpture too and one of my all time favourites is 'Out Of Order' by David Mach -

Our spending was kept in check, we visited one charity shop and bought an item for re-sale and Hema which is an all time favourite shop. We did hit is quite hard but the stores are like hen's teeth and so we make the most of it when we are nearby. We probably only get to visit Hema once every two years.
Apart from an iced bottle of water from ASDA which was a necessity in this gorgeous weather, that was it
A lovely day spent in a relatively frugal way "One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0 -
Fiscal Fast Day 204
Today we set off from London up to Yorkshire for all the pre wedding preparations.
Our costings were food along the journey. Ice was a must to keep us as cool as possible and we also stopped off in Milton Keynes at Costco for lunch"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little bit better because I was important in the life of a child."0
