    Good Morning.
    First time poster here.
After some recipes for avocado. I managed to get a bulk of 10 for £2. Down to the last 3 (gave a couple to sis, guacamoled out now)
Smoked salmon and Avo pasta tonight?
    Any better ideas?

Sounds lush! I like them peeled, halved and stoned topped off with a cheese/breadcrumb mix and baked in the oven till crispy/ melty on top....crusty bread and salad...yum.

    Welcome to the group :)

I love avocado halved, stoned and topped with prawns and a little Marie rose sauce. Frozen prawns work fine for this, a bit expensive but lovely for a treat.

Happy birthday Jackie. Enjoy your lunch out and at your DDs this evening.

  • Happy birthday JackieO!
I'm all out of sorts this last week or so. OH and I got married last week and went for afternoon tea 2 days running ( one was to use a patisserie valerie voucher while we could) we had to bring a doggy bag home both times so spent most of the week eating cake lol.
We had a bit of a food waste disaster on Sunday as a drinking glass smashed right next to half of the pork shoulder that was left to cool after Sunday dinner. It smashed into such tiny shards and was all over the kitchen that we didn't want to take the risk so had to bin all the pork :-(
Trying to get back to normality this week and cooking proper dinners again!!

You're right about not being able to use the whipped butter for cooking.Denise

Thanks Denise, it's good to know I'm not a batty old lady after all! :D

Change of plan...couldn't resist a whole cooked chicken down to £1.99 ....added bonus I got a pack of trimmed leeks for 9p

    Fab bargain! :)

That's such bad luck - hope this week will be better.

Happy Birthday JackieO :bdaycake: hope you enjoy your "lady of leisure" day - you certainly deserve it. February seems to be a popular month, all 4 of my DGCs have birthdays this month.

Another freezer dive dinner today of spaghetti bolognaise and also used up the last of some grated Cheddar that was part of a Xmas cheeseboard. Still have some Xmas-y things left (a pack of sea salted crackers, 2 jars of chutney, 2 jars of mincemeat, chocs and some frozen slices of pork in gravy) but they'll all be used in due course. ;)
Be kind to others and to yourself too.
