I'm sitting putting off watering as heavy rain is forecasted sometime in the early morning, currently it's lovely outside and there's a part of me thinking I should water but I'm holding out :)

Lunchtime I walked up to town and popped into M&S, my sparks card gave me £1 off a packet of biscuits, didn't specify what biscuits so I picked up a packet for free as well as 50p off of dried pasta so that cost me 5p :D the office appreciated the chocolate biscuits, I didn't mention they were free :rotfl:

L - HM chicken soup. I took half a bread roll to toast and forgot to eat it :o
D - steak, asparagus and runner beans. I mashed potatoes but didn't fancy them so they will do for either fish cakes or bubble and squeak at the weekend, I have to work Saturday (from home) so I may do bubble and squeak with bacon and a fried egg

I've written a to do list which turned out rather long :( all those little jobs which I've put off doing I did manage a couple of kitchen jobs when I was cooking dinner :) but found a couple more to take their place
I always water "just in case":rotfl:
"To Do" lists breed overnight I think - otherwise someone is sneaking in and adding to mine;)

If it doesn't rain overnight I'll sneak out in the morning :D. Although thanks to the South of England I want to leave a little earlier than usual, my work town is on the way to the show so this morning I forgot and spent an extra 20 minutes in traffic

If his lordship had thumbs I would say he was adding to the list  although he wouldn't have written deflea cat :rotfl:

He hates it, unfortunately he seems to know what I'm planning I think he recognises the pack or at least the noise of the blister pack opening. It can be a battle of wits which unfortunately I don't always win :o

hi old friends, get it!! Just clap your hands and smile, am on a quick secret visit wearing a different coat

new house and settled in, all done and dusted, just a quickie, could have passed out with the buying/selling/moving stress btw and never ever again. Walking to shops available now :D so am busy using up stores, many tins of baked beans to get through and many bags of flour, all kept in the freezer for now. Panny spelt dough made yesterday, turned into rolls. Eating salads when possible but cheese and tomato rolls are lovely. Smoked mackerel salad for 2 days, fish/meat free for a couple of days now and always the fallback of all in one pan soup, mostly veg with some wholemeal pasta and some beans from a tin.
  • Well I always prefer Chinese. I think I'd love to make dan dan noodles when I have less time. Pizza could also be the 2nd best idea.

Shreddies with almond milk for breakfast.

I need to buy bread and I think I will get some marmalade. Just fancy it. It is pouring, not sandal weather!

    I forgot the marmalade!

I made lentil soup and had it with a slice of buttered bread instead.

    Good afternoon everyone,

    Hello pattypan and melissasay:wave:
Shame about forgetting the marmalade Wednesday, that's the sort of thing I do;).
Errands have been done and it was quite warm & sunny while I was out. Rain clouds are beginning to gather now though.
Last of the mini pork pies & the LO beetroot & cue salad for lunch. I've roast veg left from last night so they will form part of dinner tonight though I haven't decided what else to have yet.
After lunch it will be feet up for a good bit as I'm feeling very tired today and then I'll see what the weather is doing and decide from there what I'll do.
