  • I also cannot keep up with the school hols, much to dd pain, I ask if dgs will be staying and find out either, its not yet so have not thought about it, or its next week so would have asked you already. Easter also seems to be a long time coming when eggs are in shops so long. As Terry Wogan used to say "Is it me?" I liked to know as I feel the need to get extra food in for when he comes, not so much extra as different, but I do tend to take us out for lunches so that food ends up in the freezer tardis.

Sunny day, may pot on some more of the toms alter. The sun gets in just the right warm spot for potting on tasks

My own herbs bread turned out super, sampled a slice last night

I also sampled my super posh chocs last night, they are nice but very rich, so much so I actually stopped after a 4

Porridge breakfast, with diced apple this time, bananas still a bit under ripe for my taste

Lunch thinking corned beef & tomato, or maybe sliced raw onion? It will be eaten in the conservatory now sun's right time of year

Dinner, I've got the LO Toad in Hole to finish off, could just open tin of beans to help it along

I may have freezer trawl later to see about tomorrow

Ooh, I didn't even know about bowling there haha.:D
It was 30+ years ago so the alley probably disappeared years ago!
    (and yep vertigo is weird:eek:)

    Good morning everyone,

I'm very fond of crab sticks and can happily just munch my way through a packet;).

Sunny but bitterly cold here today, my balance is still iffy so a gentle day is planned. I've friends popping by for a "soup" lunch tomorrow so have a ham hough in the pressure cooker to make lentil soup for us. Bacon & egg for lunch as I have a couple of rashers of streaky needing used up and chicken thighs & roast veg for dinner.

That's the last time I help you locate products in L1dl .... you deliberately slid this phrase into the middle of your posting.... thinking I'd either not notice, or be jealous :(

So many people think conservatories are for the summer and "they get too hot". I say "they'd be too hot 7-10 days of the year, max. They're for those cool days, overcast days, breezy days, days when the weather can't make its mind up, so you can sit "in actual daylight" in comfort and without having to lug furniture out/outside and without having your stuff get wet or blown around."

They're not for summer, they're for British weather 8-9 months of the year.

I still have my heating on. It is still getting quite chilly in the evenings.

I am making a lovely chickpea and vegetable curry for lunch. I just bought some biryani paste, red onions and mango chutney at the shop. I'm going throw some sliced cucumber on top when it is cooked.

Lunch eaten, used sliced raw onion not tom in the sarnie, much tastier choice

Wednesday's post reminded me I don't have any crumpets in ready use locker [AKA freezer] I now fancy crumpets:)

No change for dinner, it will be open tin of beans + LO Toad IH

work today is a bit of a :mad::wall: :wall: due to IT issues we are currently 3 hours behind so if the next bit goes to plan we won't finish to gone 8.30pm tonight  no doubt there will be an inquest next week just to add to the pain. I'm not sure what our developers did but it took 3 hours to fix. I'm currently waiting to be required again hopefully it wouldn't take the 4 hours we allowed

I put 3 loads on washing on the line first thing but took it in lunchtime when we had a shower I think I should have left it out there and it would have been ok

Lunch was open fridge door and grab crab sticks and a hard boiled egg and eaten on the run due to work so I'm hungry now but it's a strange time to eat and not be picking later but if I leave it too late I wouldn't have time  Typically if I start to cook i'll be required to work. I did buy a gammon on offer again in M&S as I enjoyed the last one and popped that in the oven so i can either do chips or have a salad depending what I cba to do

Farway I have crumpets in my freezer if i digged down but i'm trying to avoid the wheat at the moment i may change my mind by supper time :D

I have a whole pack of crumpets... I think the date's tomorrow so I'll end up freezing some of them.

A few months ago I bought some wooden tongs to pluck things out from the toaster.... they work a lot better than I ever imagined. I use them all the time. No more poking about inside/near the hot metal bits to extract things.
