    The dogs are very cute.:A

I saw two little Yorkies wearing jumpers out today. So sweet.

These two hate their Xmas jumpers, n try stripping them off each other :rotfl:
BRAMBLING they are soooooo naughty, but still pups really :D

  • Been on the diet still so far today - and dinner duly egg and chips (Slimming World version).

Off diet tonight - one of my "regular social things" is having "last evening before Christmas" tonight and we will all be bringing snack type things. So I'm taking some stuff myself and will doubtless have a bit of other stuff - particularly bearing in mind one of the people there likes doing "professional level" stuff as a hobby and will doubtless be bringing whatever the latest creation is they've taken a fancy to making themselves:)

    Good morning everyone,
    Beautiful pooches candygirl:)
My son arrived as planned and I think he is as smitten with the stove as I am:rotfl:. We had a lazy, chatty evening on the sofas watching the flames:D.
Cauli & macaroni cheese was lovely and for once I managed to just make enough for our meal so no LOs:).
I'm not sure about dinner tonight some sort of stir fry probably.
  • I've had some hula hoops and a few veggie sausage rolls.

I have lots of the pesto veg leftover that I might have with pasta. I feel like making these SW chips everyone keeps talking about.:D

Reporting a huge success with my pot roast beef, it was gorgeous, and even unctuous would fit nicely. Loads left, I had it with the veggies it was cooked with
Just one manky pot to clean, in soak until I CBA to sort it

    Usual porridge breakfast

Then into town, I had not intended going for a another few days but a toerag has used bolt cutters on some of our garage doors' padlocks, including mine.
Nothing stolen, just padlocks cut, either vandalism or early Christmas shopping but got disturbed

New padlock duly bought, and today was the day Asda veg is on offer, 20p, for carrots 1kg, parsnips 500g, sprouts 500g & broccoli bought one of each, BBE 24 Dec, daft I call it, I know they'll keep but some may think they need chucking Christmas day
Plus huge pack of loo rolls.

That's everything sorted for Christmas but may risk it again on the Eve, just in case, I noticed Iceland were starting to clear the shelves already, which prompted my purchase of some Wenslydale, by coincidence I was only watching a programme last week about how it was made

Lunch was beef & horseradish sarnie

Dinner, could be same as lunch, even though I've loads of veg I CBA to sort it

I'll probably follow with warming up the last of my YS posh mince pies, and sample some of my posh& ethical Salted caramel ice cream with them
I think Christmas has trickled in at Farway Towers:)

PS, bum, forgot sausage rolls, maybe if I see some next time I'm out
Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens
  • Lots of snacks were duly consumed - and some wine with it - at yesterday evening's social event. Most people there had brought vegetarian food (bearing in mind the known veggie there - ie me):D - so I felt I had to partake to "show willing" because of that.

Duly given some luxury food to bring away with me - but don't want to put temptation in my path. An ah-ha moment later of "I'm going to the supermarket tomorrow" - and I shall take that with me to put in the Food Bank donation box there. It took a long time for that penny to drop - ie that any goodies I'm not going to eat myself (as I'm being "virtuous") can just head off that route to someone else that would be glad of them. Win win.
  • I just made some chips in the oven and had it with BBQ sauce. I still have the pesto veggies but that will be later or tomorrow.
