I'll dig out "my recipe" and see if I can just use this packet for the flavour ... use it as the "flour part" of my own recipe. Treat it as just "500g of flour".

It'd be a shame to give in and bin it... that goes against the grain.

EDIT: B4lls... my recipe needs milk. I have no milk. It also needs an egg, I have 0 eggs.

Back in the cupboard it goes... and next time I have milk and eggs it's coming out....

Definitely worth a try though the bread flour in the mix might be too strong for an unyeasted loaf. Only one way to find out....

The advantage of living alone PN is any dirt is our dirt or in my case maybe the cat :rotfl: a good wipe down and good to go, however I agree with Caronc and think the yeast has probably died so it's needs binning. Personally I find kneading bread very therapeutic, when I got made redundant I came home and made bread :D unfortunately I as it doesn't agree with me I rarely do it or just quickly make soda bread as there's no point in keeping yeast in the house any more

I enjoy cooking old faithfuls and experimenting with new recipes :D my larder cupboard has a wide selection of ingredients and if I don't have something I improvise no sticky plum sauce dollop in mango chutney instead. Most of my cba comes from getting in from work tired sitting down and not wanting to get back up and cook, those days I would love for some one to say I'll cook tonight. Weekends especially Sunday afternoon I'm often in the kitchen, music playing cooking :) I find it relaxing it's just my waist line which has a problem with it but then I see it as a challenge to cook tasty healthy meals

Lunch was my HM chicken soup with a few grapes for afters, dinner will be something done with LO chicken, not sure yet.

Sorry you're still feeling rough Wednesday

PN, shame about the bread mix, I've used the Wrights C & O [in bread machine] and it's scrumptious. I no longer make my own not worth my trouble for a couple of slices, and as Caron says, yeast dies and I never use enough to warrant buying sachets, tins are dead before I've even used a couple of spoonfuls

Like you I was mis-sold, pasta in cheese sauce, with "bits". Just add milk.
Left out the small print, boil, simmer, ponce about on stove top for twenty minutes. Those packets [bbe 2015] will be binned now you've triggered me

Lunch was the fried egg sarnie, followed by a tomato & bits cup a soup, which does what it says, just add boiling water, stir, that's it

Dinner, I've taken a YS pizza out, and looks like that'll be dinner

I was thinking of making some sort of cake, I've got eggs etc, but CBA & settled for a couple of choc digestives:o

Tomorrow is hospital appointment after lunch, so no clue what I'll be eating, also volunteer day so no breakfast, and I think with hospital dinner will be whatever is easy to open because there may be an awful lot of waiting around.
Last visit it was over 2 hours wait despite me being on time, seems the time they give is a "muster time" not "see Doctor time":(

I may find some YS dinner in L's in the morning, but it's been a bit empty in that area of late

Nuke it... 2 minutes to start, then stir. Then 1 min/stir, 1 min/stir - then see how it's shaping up. Should be fine.... just keep an eye on it and keep stirring until it's thick enough.

I had the last spud of the 2.5Kg of baking spuds I bought the other week to use up. It had a small sprouty bit, so that was the decision made.

    Spud, beans, cheese.

A bit later I had a hot chocolate with some mini marshmallows :)

I've removed a bread roll from the freezer to defrost.... no idea what I'll do with that, but, at some point later this evening, that'll no doubt get toasted .... probably chocolate spread will be applied.

Saturday, I really fancied a pizza, after work. I was sure there was one ready in freezer, there wasn't :( so I had to make one up, which thanks to freezing surplus onions, mushrooms and peppers ready chopped it was easy to do.
After work Sunday I had 2 fish fingers chips and lo half a small tin of beans. Then I opened a big bag of black pepper crisp with a couple of glasses of asti, because I'd opened the bottle when dds were here on Friday.
Today I've made soup to use the broccoli up, I added an extra potato and a bit of cauliflower, that my sister picked up for me from aldi 59p, it's huge:D I had a portion for lunch with toast spread with boursin.
Dgson came today whilst I worked the weekend so we've had a chicken jalfrezi, then he had jelly as I found a packet with 2017 on.

So tomorrow I've taken out a salmon fillet and intend making cauli cheese!

    Good evening everyone,
Farway - I hope your appointment goes okay tomorrow and you don't have too much hanging around.
wort - I do like cauliflower cheese or a mix of pasta, cauli & cheese sauce. I must get a cauli and make some soon, though unfortunately no Aldi near by.
I decided a gammon steak didn't go as well with my stir fry as pork so have defrosted a pork steak. I did have to finish the defrosting in the microwave as even on the usually fail safe metal plate it was still pretty solid. I'll take a frozen chicken breast out of the freezer to defrost in the fridge overnight to have with the other half of the noodles/veg/sauce tomorrow evening. My Dad is coming for lunch tomorrow and this month's "theme" was brussels sprouts:rotfl:. Last Christmas, my gift to him was the promise of 12 meals throughout the year each based around a specific food item;). He's really enjoyed it so I'll continue the idea some way next year, though not as a gift as we are doing a family Secret Santa instead of individual pressies this year. Tomorrow we are having bubble & squeak with bacon & eggs. I'll see if he wants beans or tinned toms as well. Not much prep as I cooked a load of mash yesterday and extra sprouts for it.
It has been blinking baltic today, I think because as well as cold it has been damp & gloomy. Despite the gloom it's due to head well towards freezing this evening and it certainly feels it as I've just had to turn the heating up a bit. Roll on getting the stove installed- though I'll not be complaining if getting one means we have a mild winter:cool:.

I got round to toasting the bread roll - and put the remainder of the grated cheese in it .... and scoffed that. Now I've finished, I've just remembered I have some cherry tomatoes to get through, so I could've put 2-3 of those in there too.... too late now.
