Farway. The allium in question aren't the best , if that's any consolation. They are small and the flowers don't last long. Then I have the grass like leaves, which are already above ground, lying limp for the rest of the year!!!!:rotfl:

It's cheaper to buy cornflour and dob in some yellow colouring.
  • Breakfast, coffee.
About to head off for work with the last of the 2 sandwich thins - cheese & pickle today. & 4 bourbon creams for lunch/tea.

Looking forward to the weekend & a proper, hot, meal. Might go 4ldi at 8am & get stuff to make a full English breakfast.
Ate lots of Indian sweets & chocs that were going free at work yesterday, that might have put the scuppers on losing a bit of weight this week.

Gonna have to stop by Sainsbobs on the way home for bread & a pint of milk. I've another meal voucher for the works canteen, so tomorrow 3pm lunch/tea may well be a £1 sandwich meal deal

I do miss being in an area where we all got to share the Diwali treats.

Had a much bigger breakfast than usual yet am now really hungry. Mind you breakfast was v early ( for me) as I'm waiting in for someone to give me a quote for a new thermostat. Looks like he'll be here at the end of the 4 hour slot 'cos he wasn't here at 8.

Maybe a coffee will stave off the hunger pangs.

    Good morning everyone,

LOL re the waiting around hunger pangs bouicca21, I always seem to get them when I'm killing time.
Bright and cold here just now but we have weather warnings for wind & rain later!
I'm having a much needed pottering about day as the aftermath of all the weekend excitement has well and truly caught up with me and I'm shattered despite being in bed early yesterday.
All being well my woodburner is going in w/c 03/12 which I'm very excited about:D.
I need to get balanced eating back in hand as it has been decidedly lacking in F&V and nice though it was I'm sure that isn't helping my tiredness. I had toast & fruit for breakfast, lunch will be salad in a roti and tonight I'll use up the roast veg I made on Tuesday with pasta.
  • I feel like I'm coming down with a cold or something. I remember someone sneezing near me in the shop, can't remember if that was yesterday or the day before.

It's a bed day for me instead of going out. I just had some lemon and ginger tea and some PB on toast as my stomach was gurgling for food.:p

I was about to have a Money style rant about tradesmen not turning up when they phoned to apologise. He's doing a more difficult job than anticipated an hour's drive away. So that's more waiting then ...

I'm learning re "a little something" for hunger pangs with being on this diet at the moment. So what I tend to use (that all count as "Free Food" on the Slimming World old Green Plan) is things like:

    - a couple of (large) hard-boiled eggs
    -a banana
    - a bowl of couscous with fat-free yogurt and loads of fruit (things like apples/frozen cherries/oranges/etc).

Often fills me up enough to be going on with that I don't reach for the toast or some nuts.

I have to confess I am also dieting but mine involves avoiding carbs and I'm doing it conjunction with a programme run by my gym. So Money, you are actually eating exactly the foods I'm avoiding! Apart from the eggs, that is. Even the fruit is currently restricted to berries.

    Seems like both approaches work.

Hope you feel better soon <<hug>>

I should never have checked up on the Debenham's sale......:o
I wore a dress (currently my only one) on Saturday, not fancy and very easy to wear tunic style. Couldn't believe how comfy I felt. I decided that for Christmas etc. a tunic style frock might just be the thing. Ordered one I liked from Seasalt yesterday and somehow have just ordered three from Debenhams:eek::o:o. Of course I might return some or all;). Clothes budget for 2018 is a distant memory now.....
