It's sounds like you're going to me yourself coming back Flubberzing
you're need time off to recover. It must be rewarding and definitely a one off experience.
Money I'm an emotional eater, I don't really need an excuse to eatbut upset, happy, sad or stressed I reach for food and not usually the heathy stuff
There's also no chance of my body thinking I'm starving it :rotfl:
My problem isn't the three meals a day they're usually relatively healthy it's the carp I eat between them that's the problem  oh well tomorrow's another day and I'm out for lunchLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Brambling, I am seriously impressed. That's a mega achievement that I hope to emulate. I have been doing a fair bit of exercise but apparently it's all the wrong kind and I have to start doing mega boring stuff like weights and resistance.
My tradesman did turn up. Booked for between 8 and 12; arrived at 4.30. At least he was apologetic. Then he quoted about 80 quid more than I was hoping for so I will probably need to get another one to call in.0 -
Well, I slept like the head last night... I don't think I stirred once!
The BBC Radio interview went well. They phoned shortly after about 9:30 in the end, and did a 10 minute segment. All fine.
I've got a day's teaching ahead, plus an hours tutoring this evening.
I've made the decision to take Monday and Tuesday off work (easy to do when freelance). Sunday will be another long, demanding day, and I just need to catch up with my life a bit!Because it's fun to have money!

Agh - hoping to avoid the weights and resistance here Bouicca. Guess the only thing is as to whether you can "distract yourself" whilst doing them (eg watching tv).
I did discover YouTube has some long videos on it the other day that are specifically for watching whilst on a treadmill or the like if that helps. You could look for titles like "taking the dog for a long walk - in the countryside/at the beach/etc" and up comes videos taking several hours taken as the person concerned was having that walk (some with/some without music). So I don't know if you'll be doing this at home or in the gym - but might be a thought......
I'm waiting in on a tradesperson coming today - the young guy that's recently started out is coming round to do a small job for me today. Cue for me wondering if he's going to be as unreliable as many tradesmen round here are. Well - he contacted me yesterday about coming round today as per plan and looks like he's coming round at an earlier time than I thought:). So fingers crossed....
EDIT; Just had a quick check re those YouTube videos. You'd put "TV for Dogs - Virtual Walk your Dog TV" in the YouTube search bar and it would come up with those. There are also "videos for using treadmill" on there.0 -
I'd like to go to a service on Sunday, but I feel no connection or affiliation to anywhere to feel more than "awkward" anywhere... so I'll do it quietly at home. Portsmouth would be my closest.
I have no direct upline who were killed in WW1 and there were no family stories.
Mum had a 2nd cousin who died, aged 12, when a bomb hit her house in WW2. That's the closest.
But mum was illegitimate and I've since found her father lost two brothers in the War. Mum's uncles - I wonder if she knew as she never mentioned it.
My paternal grandfather's brother died in WW1, but that was of sickness and I never knew that grandfather as he lived/died not in England 7 years before I was born. Even his widow, granny, I only met once when we went there when I was 3 and once when she came here when I was about 5 - so I have no memories of her, just a couple of photos of her with us in them.
I keep a WW1 deaths list as I go through the tree - and there are lots of people on there, in all directions, distantly related...
There's my maternal great-grandfather's nephew - and my gt-grandmother's cousin.
I have about a dozen in my list of people who died in my family tree in WW1 in total so far. There are a further 2 from WW2.
But none are anywhere near here; most are just a name on a monument in France/abroad. Some fought for Canada as they'd emigrated and signed up, as a lot of ex-Brits did. One woman lost 3 sons.0 -
I made the kebab and put it on in the SC. I also kept aside a little bit and I'll cook that up with chips for lunch ... or pitta.... or both.
I've no salad at all in the house.... but kebab is kebab with or without salad
I've got a cheese/tomato sandwich made up in the fridge that I made yesterday - and half a tomato sandwich I made yesterday too. I make them up and pop them in the fridge to be grabbed on a whim.0 -
Good morning everyone,
I'm not surprised you are exhausted flubberyzing but it sounds really enjoyable:)
Oh HM scotch eggs & kebabs, I think they are both going on my "to make" soon list, I have all the stuff I need for them.:)
It's still really wild & wet here so I'm quite happy indoors. Despite a half decent sleep last night I'm feeling very "wabbit" (tired & washed out) which I think is probably post-shingles. There is nothing I really need to do or go to over the next few days so I'm just going to try and rest up and get my oomph back.
Tesco delivery arriving in a bit - despite the mega shops last week I'm very low on essentials and fresh stuff.
Last of the roasted veg in a wrap for lunch and tonight I'm having breaded pollock with HM wedges, peas and cabbage.0 -

Warning... after 2 hours you can smell the kebab .... and it's very very difficult to keep breathing in to enjoy that aroma as you still need to breathe out....
OMG it smells gorgeous. Glad I grabbed a blob of it to cook earlier/for lunch by other methods as I'd never be able to wait for this to finish cooking0 -

That bug I caught was a stomach thing. Hopefully only 24 hour! Tell me if this is TMI. Too Much Information.:o:D
I just tested myself with a small baguette with PB as I was feeling starving after not eating since yesterday morning.
My brother is coming over tonight and we were supposed to be getting pizza. I think he and my husband can have the takeaway pizza and I will stick to home cooked food just in case.
I might make some lovely creamy mushroom soup for myself.:cool:0
