I'd planned to do some work today... Then a friend called about 9:15... Was I free to join her in taking her 22 month old twins to a soft play centre with her? As the person who was meant to come and help her out was ill?
Thought about it... Work... Or soft play with 3 of my favourite people? I chose the soft play. My arms are shaky and tired now, after lugging the twins around. They're not yet two, but are starting to get too heavy for me to carry for any length of time. My arms have always been weak, especially my wrists, and I do have to be particularly careful of them.
Home about 1:30, so decided to do my hot meal of the day now... As figured, I'm out to choir at 6:30, so can't push tea back. But if I ate my usual lunch time sandwiches now, I wouldn't be hungry for my planned tea before choir... So did a switch around, and will probably take my sandwiches with me to eat in the car before choir.
Burgers are in the oven and will now go and prep the veg.Because it's fun to have money!

Lunch was 2 chocolate digestives.
Don't forget the way everyone promptly makes such positive comments about you the second you come out with 2 words or a bog-standard opinion and says how wise you are, etc, etc, etc.:rotfl:
If we say the exact same words - do you think we should stand back and wait for those same positive comments to be made about us? LOL

I just knocked up a quick snack.
A bread roll, halved, toasted.
Topped with fiery ketchup, then some softened onions and mixed herbs, then cheese on top and into the toaster oven for 5-6 minutes
So nice I wish I'd sliced two onions .... but I didn't wash up the mug I cooked it in, so it wouldn't be hard to pop back and make seconds
I've still got two bread rolls to go... bought half price then frozen and now defrosted, they do need to be eaten ASAP .... so I definitely feel another of those coming on shortly.0 -
i like Greek salad!0

Blushing here, all this busty chat:o Sort of MSE Russian Babes?:money::money:
Cold again, good job clocks went back, my heating now comes on at the correct time, not an hour late, so woke up to cosy house. But my car clock is now an hour out, it's correct 6 months of the the year though, more CBA
Into L's this morning, a good mooch this morning.
Started very well, someone had left a quid in the trolley slot, Kerching, thank you:j
Then a YS FR chicken, dinner problem solved, then in the odds & s*ds centre aisle clearance bit, a YS faux Pryrex roasting dish to cook it in. I've been looking out for an extra one, problem solved.
Lunch was sarnie with last of the ham & mustard
Dinner will be YS chicken, roasting at the moment in the YS dish, plus HM chips & maybe some salad, but Novice, as I'm another thinking of super meals to cook, then CBA, it could turn into a chicken sandwich:DNovice_investor101 wrote: »Is a scotch pie similar to a Holland's meat pie, caronc?
I love those! The amount of fat that comes out of them is incredible....
I'm originally from Lancashire, so raised on Holland's pies. I always stock up on them frozen when T have them on offer.
I've tried both, married into Oldham folk, take a tip, stick to Holland's, but I'm not keen on them either. Maybe years ago, prior to extreme mechanically recovered gunge they were better
PS, welcome Gilinana
Just remembered, the Queen thinks the world smells of fresh paint, and of course her mum never knew fish had bones in them until one stuck in her throatEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Good afternoon everyone,
Russian babes indeed Farway:eek: - you've been spending too much time on dodgy sites I think:rotfl::rotfl:
Despite all the priveleges I wouldn't want to be the Queen, I value my privacy too much and as for all that smiling, waving and being nice to folk it would drive me (more) nuts.....:eek:
It was definitely milder earlier but it's been getting steadily colder since early this afternoon. I see the forecast has been revised to back to freezing by early evening. I've just popped the heating on as the house was cold probably due to me having the windows and doors open earlier. I decided as it was sunny and not too cold I'd wash my windows and doors this morning, it's one of those jobs that I although I find it a challenge to do I find quite satisfying. :)Less satisfying was not closing the patio door properly and flooding the kitchen.
The huge shop arrived and the fridge is groaning, just as well I cleared out the other day:).
I decided was going to have bangers tonight but while I was raking in the freezer I came upon a beef olive. I've not had one for ages so it's currently simmering with some onions. I'll add mushrooms later and have it with cabbage and root veg mash. There will be mash left but it's getting frozen as I've eaten three days in a row and nice though it is that'll do me for just now.
I'm off to write place cards for Saturday's buffet so folk know what's in the various pots and what's veggie/vegan etc. Best make sure it's my neatest handwriting or my sis will redo them:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
We have sleet & hail now
, maybe the forecast wasn't wrong about the snow showers:eek:

I used up the two remaining bread rolls as mini pizza bases, so four more scoffed
Then four pieces of chocolate, that's the end of that bar I bought (Saturday I think)....0 -
The chocolate has lasted you well PN:)
Thankfully the wintery showers seemed to have gone:), still blinking cold though!
Dinner is just about ready I decided to have peas rather than cabbage with the beef olive/mash.0 -
Morning all!
Dinner for me today will be a fray bentos pie. There's one left in the cupboard, after I got a few of them for a £1 each a while ago. I do that with a good mound of broccoli.
Tonight will be the one night of the week that I don't have to venture out for tutoring or choir, which I thought was rather good. Especially as tonight is Halloween, and although I never get bothered by trick or treaters as I live in a flat, I prefer to hibernate on this night.
I don't have any problem with kids going to organised Halloween parties and the like, but to me, trick of treating goes in the face of everything you teach kids the rest of the year, and I'd rather not encourage it.
So instead I'll keep the lights down dim and hang out with Netflix and a hot drink.Because it's fun to have money!
