Caron, he's a lot better since he retired 18 months ago. His doc always said that stress aggravates the condition and once retired he would see an improvement. The doc was right :).
  • Interesting the things you read on here!:)

I just looked up online and there is a link between stress/anxiety and vertigo. I wonder if that is why it stopped so suddenly with me as I've been trying to look after myself a lot better in the past 6 months.

I changed my mind as I read what I said on another bit of the forum about hardly ever using my spiraliser or burger maker!

I'm going to make some bean and mushroom burgers and have one or two for lunch. I have one white roll as my husband needs the other two for his work lunch so I might put one burger on each half and I bought some yellow mustard the other day as well.:T

I will make the soup tonight instead.

Morning all. wet & windy here so stayed in.

Sort of handy because I think a Windoze update killed my printer drivers. Had to download a patch & purge PC, & install new driver:(
There is another update waiting, this one is the AMD fix, which has been known to really slow things down, If I vanish that will be why

I scoffed all the mini pork pies yesterday, with piccalilli, then later the stewed apples & Greek yoghurt:o

Breakfast was one of my HM yoghurt with honey, I was going to stir in some mixed seeds that have been lurking, but when opened I spotted they were a bit "dusty" looking, mites maybe? Binned them

Lunch I'm in a quandary about, def feature the YS Bavarian ham, but piccalilli or salady?
I looked up the Kittie piccalilli, gulped at price, I have a jar of not that one, could venture into W/r and buy the other after I re - mortgage;)

Dinner undecided, probably last of YS ham, baked spud & salad, which was last weeks plan until the spud turned out to be manky. Better luck this week

I suspect corned beef may well feature for lunch as I'm really fond of a corned beef and beetroot sandwich and have some crusty rolls coming with my groceries this morning. So a bit of corned beef overload but the tin has been lurking for 2 years ish so a rare treat:D

I have never tried that SB & beetroot, sounds like I would like it, and have all the bits required. Added to my list of must try its

Realised I have three sizes of trousers in the wardrobe - the size I am now - a size smaller which I want to be by summer and an "ideal" size. Once I get to a smaller size I am going to pack away the bigger sized clothes so the wardrobe is more functional.

Most of the clothes in my wardrobe are "real size" 12 or 14/a few "real size" 10.

So - as my weight comes down - the 21st century size 14's and, hopefully the 21st century size 12's will be just chucked in the rubbish bin. The 21st century size ones have had quite a lot of wear by now - as I refuse to buy many in those bigger sizes. I shall be reinforcing the message to my subconscious of "Don't do that again (ie go overweight)" too by getting shot of them - so even a few lbs weight re-gained will result in discomfort.

It will be TINA here:rotfl:(ie "There is No Alternative") - ie no bigger clothes to get into - once I'm sorted.:).

One pack of cheese to go from the Cheese Mountain - a pack of halloumi. So - that will go a few slices grilled at a time with meals. I'll fill the vacated space in the freezer with some cooked-up packets of cooked rice and dried cooked beans - for cba days.

Not to mention pretty bread bags meant for storing bread in the freezer - instead of the ziplock plastic bags that aren't going to be replaced. I've found a "source of supply" of suitable material bags.:)

cost me £3.99 and would come to that (almost) if I made home made, ingredients, energy and most of all my precious time :D Having had a very (money) poor start to life ie the first 21 years and then being very very frugal all through the next 30 years and becoming mortgage free and then accruing savings and knowing how to trade shares, well now I am in a nice position but should it all go in my will to be spent on cars and holidays, when we did without? No way, from now on in, I am spending, even if only to buy nice piccalilli :)

No outside exercise today, windy rainy, so am up and down stairs with washing. Stove ch is on and the utility is very warm and perfect for a drying day. Just gave the downstairs a good wash, hips and body side to side, exercising as I go :D rock n roll music

Enjoyed my berries, bits and yoghurt mid morn
  • Morning All

Despite the 50mph wind the sun is shining and I've bravely put the washing out with the strongest pegs I could find, I'll be working in the kitchen so can keep a close eye out for any escapees.

I've had cinnamon porridge and stewed apples for breakfast, it will be a bit fishy here later with mackerel fillets in a spicy tomato sauce on toast, then Peperonata Pasta, green beans and garlic bread slices for tea.

Caronc thats a shame you are suffering again, was wondering if its the atmospheric pressure dropping that sets it off - not that you can do very much about that but forewarned is forearmed, maybe interesting to check this out to see if it coincides with any of your previous episodes - just a thought

Oops, nodded off with the phone in my hand and accidentally reported this as spam.
I had a burger press I never used, I wonder what happened.
