    Good evening everyone,
I'm going to blame the crisp talk for my munchy attack this afternoon! Now I could have opened a large bag lurking since Easter but knew I'd just end up scoffing[STRIKE] all[/STRIKE] most of them:o so resisted. Instead I opened a bag of unsalted smoked pistacio nuts my son brought me and had some of those. Not to bad as munchy attacks go but I then had a ladle of the just cooked curry which was lovely but just pure gluttony and I've the cheek to be hungry again now:o:o.
It's blinking cold here tonight despite wearing a vest top, a top, a jumper, a thick cardi and my slipper boots I was still chilly so the heating is on....
  • No cat hot water bottle tonight then Caron?:rotfl:

Time to stock up with the Dreamies - or does Next Door Cat only come a'calling at times when there might be a convenient patch of sun to lie in (with or without it being occupied by your lap to sit in):)

He was in earlier- had some "treats" (tin is well-stocked;)), had a quick purr/cuddle and then departed, knows where he is well off as his owners had lit their woodburner:rotfl::rotfl:

    :hello:

Fur free home today, other than the normal. We'll have to see if the cat returns they don't usually give up that easy but a large middle age lady chasing it down the garden shouting may have put it off for a while :rotfl:

Decided if I was cooking curry I would make two and freeze to avoid house smelling again, so lamb and aubergine and chicken curries with slightly different sauces, problem was I have two bags of chillies in the freezer hot and very hot unfortunately not labelled and I grabbed the wrong ones so both curries are :eek::eek: hopefully once the favours develop and with rice they will only clear my sinuses

Not hungry now I've finished cooking so it was cup of tea and pack of crisps (mmm I wonder where that idea came from ) I did have meatballs and pasta from freezer for lunch so it's not too bad

Glad there has been no further invasions of the unwanted furry/hissing kind. As I always told my kids never underestimate how scary/fast moving a short, angry woman can be:rotfl:, so hopefully it had the same effect on an errant puss:).
Choice of curries in a CFO household, now that's showing off:D;)

I bought a couple of bags of these recently https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/299531651 as they are on SO, ideal for CFO I think if you just want a quick veggie CFO base or boost. Not sure I'd pay full price but definitely handy and the contents are decently balanced. I added about 1/3 of a bag to my "bung it in" one pot wonder tonight and really enjoyed the addition.

I've been up since 5am. I wanted to clear out a 1m deep strip of garden of weeds, so I could put down some weed suppression sheeting. I've not got the bark yet, but I know where I'm getting that from... but ... that old chestnut of you can only be in one place at one time will hold me up.

I'm expecting a "little man" between 7.45 and 8.45 to collect/remove my washing machine and a larder fridge - and the bark shop opens at 8am. The bark shop has tricky/limited parking, so I'd have liked to be there when they opened so I could "choose the best spot for them to put the bark into the boot for me" as it's a HUGE bag... I think 100 litres.

Oh well. As soon as the appliance man's left I'll hotfoot it up the bark shop and get that ... then back here I'll shovel it out.

That's not the entire area to be done, but it was the bit I wanted to achieve this morning. 1m x 3m in size it is... but it's "a start" and then I'll be motivated to do the next strip.

While weeding, I found a pair of glasses I'd lost... they must have been on my head when I was fitting a little edging fence.... and fallen off. That's handy, they're £1 glasses, which I'd already replaced, but I did need a "spare pair" as you can never have too many pairs of £1 glasses dotted all over the place.

Not eaten yet. No idea what I'll eat. See how it goes.

you sound like a whirlwind this morning pn, I assume it is all about prep for selling

I need to get out this morning, not in the car as tourists will be chocking the roads, a cycle to get my heart beating and to see swans and wildlife. I am just about to steam the jersey royals and asparagus as I want them cold in a salad for lunch

Breakfast scrambled egg with cheese. Strawberries which taste of nothing, not like sun warmed home grown. Food will be ok today as in I will get my fill of veg in an easy way and I will feel mouth-satisfied

I just have to slice up 3 large hand made spelt loaves and my wrist would suffer as the crusts are crusty, so I will get my slicer out, at least the slices will be identical

Hi all, just caught up on the thread!
Wow everyone's busy! Re the cat flap , I remember a tv programme secret life of cats? Where the cat from next door kept going terrorising the owners cat, but they had magnetic cat flap, it showed the cat getting in with its paw!!

Yesterday I had pizza for tea, one with the green pesto base, smoked salmon ,veg and cheese delicious.
    Finished the ginger cake!.
Weds I had jacket spud with a big salad and avocado, which had only 1 clove of garlic but boy could I taste it!! Think I must of stunk people out for days!!
Crisp are a fav of mine I love black pepper ones, especially with a glass of wine. I do like cheese and onion and smoky bacon too!!!! In fact I wouldn't say no to most kinds!!
It's dull out but warmer than of late, we've been lucky on the rain front as we only had some overnight rain a few days ago.
I'm hoping the forcast is good for Sunday as dd2 has said she'll come down, and we'll have a get together with family, as I have a large family, even less than half would fill the house! Whisper" we'd like to bbq" so fingers crossed.
