The fridge at work is really cold I always leave sandwiches in my locker and just put the yogurt in the fridge. You can't taste anything when it's cold.
Just in from work starving so I'm eating the lo pasta from last night, warmed through then added extra olives and sun blush tomatoes.
Sunny with a chilly wind again here.

I leave tomatoes out on the worktop, they don't go in the fridge.

I've eaten both my rolls already and two chocolates.

Once you start eating ... it's difficult to stop.

Confession time again, last night's dinner was ultimate CBA, opened & scoffed a tin of ravioli, followed by chunk of bread pud. Later I had 2 Lidlbix:o
First time I've had tinned ravioli for over 40 years, can't say I missed it, give it another 40 years & I'll try it again:D

Pot of tea, porridge, banana, HM yoghurt & honey for breakfast
Used some of the yoghurt as starter for another batch, now in the warmer upperer

Mooch around town, found myself in charity shop, bought a bone china tea pot to sue in place of my [STRIKE]tin[/STRIKE] stainless steel one. I think loose leaf tea should be in a "proper" tea pot, but I'll forego hunting out bone china cups, last seen somewhere in the loft decades ago

Got some milk & cheese, all set for tonight's cauli cheeseathon

Lunch was the LO BOGOF beef pasty, with brown sauce of course

Dinner will be the cauli cheese, cauli prepped & ready to go

I've got one of the tall rotating fans PN, it is a boon on the really hot days, mine's in my conservatory which can get baking in summer

PS I always leave my toms on worktop, and all fruit

At home I leave tomatoes on the window sill, but when throwing together my salad this morning I put the cherry tomatoes into the salad rather than leaving in a separate container and adding later. I usually take my salad out of the fridge an hour before lunch but today they move a meeting forward so it was grab and eat - they were too cold for my teeth and you're right too cold to taste which is a shame as they are nice sweet tomatoes (for shop brought ones)

    Good evening everyone,
I used to hate when folk fiddled with the fridge temperature at work, you never knew if your lunch was going to be lukewarm or half-frozen:mad:.
After the horrible weather earlier it's turned into a sunny evening but it's definitely on the chilly side. I wouldn't be surprised if we had a frost in the morning!
Stage two of my "wardrobe cull" completed today, another 26 items removed (23 will go to charity and 3 have been binned). I discovered a top that I forgot I had which is ideal for this time of year so it will be getting worn soon. Still stages 3 (drawer of summer stuff), 4 (shoes) and 5 (bags) to go but it feels like progress:D.
My "bung it in" soup was tasty and it was a welcome hot element to my otherwise salad based lunch. Simple meal tonight of gnocchi, HM tom sauce from the freezer and mozzarella:).

  • Both meals today cba. Lunch was after a morning voluntary work - toast with peanut butter, then an apple. There's stuff going on at the moment in said voluntary work that wouldnt be happening in much of Britain (it's area-specific nuisance stuff) and I'm still in process of figuring out how to deal with things/have stuff be exactly as it would any place else (well most places else in the country ...). Still getting caught up in discussions that just wouldnt happen elsewhere - so figuring out how to have them "not happen" here either:cool:. Gawdgimmepatience - but hopefully there'll be no further **** (expletive deleted):rotfl:. It's been going on a few weeks - but, hopefully, it will stop soon and we can all "get back to normal" soon. Meanwhile - probably best bet to ignore it as far as possible I guess.

Dinner - I'd had to have the computer guy in again - think it's finally sorted. So cba dinner was a Sorta Sauce - canned chickpeas/canned tomatoes, sauted onion and garlic and spinach - with various flavourings thrown in. Very cba of I ate it with a couple of slices of "nice" bread. Yep....a bottle of beer figured as well after "discussions that shouldnt happen/wouldnt happen elsewhere".:rotfl::wall::wall:

Decided not to get caught up with "people with a Personal Agenda" and then fell into the trap of doing so again. Must figure out more "avoiding tactics" to prevent them trying yet again again again....ho hum.

And those same people are the ones that think we have kitchen fairies

You're making me fill guilty Caronc I just opened the bed and hid clothes in there, most of which currently doesn't fit :(

Money hope you're tongue's not too sore from biting on it, hopefully you're not like me, i can only hold my tongue for so long and then out it gushes :rotfl:

Weather the last couple of days has varied from sunshine to torrential rain to hail  typical British weather really :rotfl:

Lunch was the fore mention salad with quiche and dinner was kedgeree made with smoke cod. Smoke fish always reminds me of my mum who insisted it wasn't smoked if it wasn't bright yellow and when we were kids had it most Fridays, poached in milk sprinkled with sarsons malt vinegar served with thin cut white bread and butter. It was probably one of the few times she cooked a separate meal for herself :)

I was doing a general round robin of a drive - so I decided to "pop into 4ldi" as you do .... spuds were reduced to 80p/2.5Kg just inside the door, last bag so I had 'em. Jar of coffee (that's two unopened in the cupboard). Crumpets had a half price sticker on, grabbed a pack of those.... baby plum tomatoes had a half price sticker on, so grabbed those. Pack of salad, but it's a mistake really (bought the pie after I'd got the salad) ... as the salad's dated in 2 days' time and I really should've bought some meat to shove into a bread roll with that :( Also got 4 bread rolls.

And a horrible, horrible mistake. I picked up a bar of milk chocolate.... at home I couldn't remember unpacking it .... I must have left it in the basket as it wasn't on the receipt :( That's twice I've done that with a bar of chocolate lately.
