Dull & grey again, but OK if wrapped upLooks like I somehow missed posting yesterday, nothing much happened anyway
Hope your friend recovers OK Brambling. Tumbling is so easily done once balance & reactions are not what they were. Don't ask how I know
Still have some hangovers from Flu jabs, not bad, just unexpected because I normally have no reactions apart from sore armsHoping to roast a pork shoulder later, getting close to Use By so best cooked and I can decide later what to do with it, may well form base for dinnerLunch, grill some bacon bits & add in a sarnie, with obligatory brown sauceDinner, TBD, but may feature roast porkNumerus non sum1 -
I cleaned out the fridge yesterday, but I didn't have the leftover orzo so I will have that for lunch today along with a tomato and olive salad. I need to pop out and get olives later.
I'm about to make a mango, banana and spinach smoothie. I have my blood test to check my cholesterol again tomorrow so I hope it has improved further.

Good morning everyone,
Sounds as though your friend is a tough cookie Brambling. Falling is horrible. Lol re the Scottish notes, it depends which bank issues them what you get on them.
Murky, chilly and slightly damp here today. DS2 says it was very misty when walked Hector first thing.
Sis is heading over soon for a cuppa and a natter. Tesco are due later which is great as we are very low on fruit and veg. More of the pea soup for lunch and tonight it's masala omelettes, AF chips and salad.1 -
It was dark and a little cold when I got to work, looks very grey out of the window now.

Misty, murky and damp here but didn’t really notice once I was in the office.
Cumin and chilli roasted carrots with lentils and feta in my lunchbox today. Salmon and spinach fish cakes with broccoli and green beans tonight.
I roasted some cherry tomatoes with garlic, olive oil and balsamic while the oven was on so they will get turned into another lunchbox meal 😋3 -
I was luckily with my flu jab no reaction at all, but I didn't have the Covid booster.
i went around to sort some stuff for my friend this afternoon. She broke her thigh bone in 2020 and had a stroke a year later which effected the other leg, a second stroke made it worst so she can't get about without a frame or Walker even indoors, she says she doesn't have a leg to stand on stand on but refuses to even consider a wheelchair even as a temporary measure when out and about and does take the bus into town. She has no family and I fear decisions about carers or more help than a cleaner two hours a week may have to be made sooner rather than later luckily she has good neighbours. Her balance has become worst over the last few months.
Sardines on toast for lunch. I roasted a very small pork loin joint (half a kg) which had cost me £2 from Waitrose meat counts couple of weeks ago and had some with the usual roast potatoes and veg I even managed to get crackling 😁 there is a little bit left probably for a sandwich tomorrow.

Can’t really tell what the weather is here as it’s still dark. BBC weather says cloudy and a high of 14 which sounds about right from yesterday.
Tomato and aubergine curry rice off the Feast app tonight. I’ve made it before and it’s delicious. Will make a double portion and have the rest tomorrow cold.Credit card 2000

It feels slightly colder today and I have to go out to a class and get my blood test done before that. I haven't eaten anything yet so I will get a smoothie when I'm out as there is a cafe I tried the other day that does really nice ones.2025 GOALS

Good morning everyone,
Another chilly, misty start here though the mist has lifted now. DS2 gave in and popped the heating on for an hour when he got up and the house was lovely and cosy by the time I headed for my shower. I suspect that will be on in the mornings now unless we get an exceptionally mild spell. Hopefully a couple of months before an evening boost is needed too as the stove does a pretty good job of heating the downstairs.
I have a pile of voluntary admin to tackle so will crack on with that this afternoon. More of the pea soup for lunch and tonight I'm doing a kind of one pan bung on based on this recipe Butter Bean And Tomato Stew With Garlic Bread Recipe | Stew Recipes | Tesco Real Food which we'll have with toasted flatbread.1 -
Another grey & dull morning, still dry, which is mixed blessings, I need to get watering some pots at the front
