Sunny in parts with a cool breeze

Up to volunteer place this morning, got my feet fixed again, then onto Morries for YS mooching
Spotted the blue cheese I bought on Monday from farm shop in there, mm, I like the idea of supporting local business but at twice the price per Kg I'm beginning to think maybe not
TBH I had not realised that Blacksticks Blue was readily obtainable from some SMs or online.
I'll let farm shop off because it's my first time of eating it, and it's deliciously moreish

I did buy some Blacksticks and a YS Butter chicken RM for tonight's dinner

Lunch was fried Coley fillet in a bun, sort of posh fish burger
Dinner, the YS MFO RM butter chicken

I saw a recipe for a creamy chickpea harissa spaghetti, but I didn't really fancy it. I was watching a Derek Sarno (he is a chef for Tesco meals) video and he was making a rice dish so I made rice instead for lunch. I have leftovers for tomorrow.

Quite sunny here today but still not particularly warm. Got a load of towels dried on the line so all good.

Another day where I got all planned tasks completed ✅

Scrambled eggs and more disappointing avocado on toast for lunch. Made pea and mint risotto tonight (chucked in the end of the broccoli too), served with roasted cherry tomatoes and 🍷 because it’s Friday 🙃

I've brought it in SMs.  I do miss the stall in the farmers market which used to sell just Sussex cheeses 😋 the local farm shop does occasionally sell some of them but as you say more expensive

I slept badly last night not sure why so I feel that I've been bleary eyed and foggy brain all day and being tired tends to make my tinnitus louder than normal.

Egg and Serrano ham watercress salad for lunch. I panned fried sea bass fillets for dinner with green veg and new potatoes

I felt like I was getting a migraine yesterday and I think it might have been because I overslept. I managed to fight it off again thanks to the tips from that reflexology book.

I fancied something sweet this morning so I am having a banana and a Nakd bar, cocoa and orange flavoured.

Dull sort of weather day with brighter episodes, at least it's dry which is good for festivities down Southsea, Red Arrows etc.

Expecting the locksmith later today, with new gubbins for the front door lock. Apart from that nothing planned.

Because locksmith is due around midday, lunch will be something easy, like toast
Dinner, something salad with jacket spud

    Good afternoon everyone,
JKS , I love pea risotto and bookmarked this one to try soon Nigel Slater’s recipe for peas, rice and basil | Vegetables | The Guardian
Sunny here just now though the forecast is mixed. If it stays dry DS2 aims to fence paint and I want to pot out some herbs.
Salady bits for lunch. Tonight I'm recreating a dish that's served in the local pub. Stir fried chicken, peppers, onions and mushrooms mixed with peppercorn sauce served over chips. I froze a bag of surplus chips from Tuesday's takeaway so they'll do nicely.

Another day of dodging the showers but at least it was a comfortable temp for walking around.

Met a friend and we treated ourselves to an all day breakfast for lunch, I haven't had one for ages and oooh it was so good.

I don't feel too hungry after my generous lunch but have defrosted a portion of quiche just in case I get peckish later.

I really enjoyed mine but that sounds lovely with the pea purée, I would probably still add cheese though 😉

Just errands and grocery shopping today, not sure where the rest of the day went…

Houmous, olive, salad and quick pickled onions in a tortilla wrap for lunch. Mushroom and Gruyère naan bread pizza and salad tonight.

The day flipped between sunny and overcasted definitely a little colder indoors when I needed long sleeves.

I'm not the family tree researcher in the family but occasionally I get sucked in as I do like the research and history, a FB ad advised of free military searches on some of the family search sites so I did end up down a family search rabbit hole this afternoon, which included finding one of my grandfathers WW1 war records.  My mum always said he was a smithy but I found out he was a royal artillery gunner until mid 1916 where he was first trained as a cold smithy than a hot one, which may explain why my older sisters remembered him hiding under the stairs when it thundered until he died in 1960.

Lunch was a repeat of yesterday Serrano ham and egg salad.  I made some fish fingers with some cod from the freezer and had them with AF chips and beans for dinner
