    Good morning everyone,
Another one bookmarking the recipe, sounds just my thing.
One more admin stint should finish what needs doing for Monday. DS2 was out yesterday evening so I just worked on, lost track of the time and suddenly it was after 8 and I was stiff, cold and hungry. Luckily dinner was pretty much takeaway leftovers so just some veg to prep.
Sunshine and showers again today, mainly the latter. When the sun's out it looks lovely but the wind is decidedly chilly.
Fridge bits tonight and JO's gingery mince in black bean sauce for dinner with veg and LO noodles.

I just walked to the beach and back. The tide was in. This area is so nice in the summer.

I thought I would have something healthy so I had a tomato and fresh basil salad with olive oil when I got in. That probably won't fill me up for long so I will have something else.

A bit later here today, had trouble with front door lock so had to get locksmith along, Kerching, there goes the Nationwide £100 bonus. :( At least the money was there to pay for a fix.
Still needs more money inserting for replacement latch mechanism, like me, it is showing its age now and needs new parts fitting. :D

Dull but warm & dry, it'll do for now

Lunch, AF sausages & fried egg, just fancied that
Dinner, fresh cod loin, I think with boiled spuds & broccoli and HM cheese sauce

Mine used up a small PB win,I remembered being disgruntled at the time.

I cleaned and sorted the fridge this morning and had a freezer rummage before menu planning and then a trip to Sainsbury's, I have a lot of fish in the freezer so plan a fishy week.

I unearthed a portion of Italian wedding soup from the freezer which I hadn't realised was there which did for lunch.  I picked up a YS chicken Katsu and rice RM in Sainsbury's the make was wasabi and it was called a Japanese Beno box I would pick up again if I see it YS half price but I'm too mean to pay the £4.50 full price 😁 it did have a nice sauce.

  • Gosh,it’s been a long week…

Think I got pretty much everything I wanted to done today 🙃

More blue cheese waldorf grain salad for lunch. Really enjoyed fresh pineapple snack as well (especially because it was free). Made cod tacos tonight - ok but not spicy enough and the ready to eat avocado was a bit hard and not particularly tasty. On the plus side, I’ve got LO quick pickled red onions 😋

I absolutely adore chicken katsu and the wasabi version is very nice; always pricey though so glad you were able to find a good offer.

We got locked out a couple of times at our old house. It is aggravating how much they charge for something that takes 2 seconds to get you back inside.

When I cleared out my fridge I realised I have 20 condiments/jars in my little fridge. As I cook for one most of the time, 18 of them are purely mine, which is ridiculous. My husband only uses jam and ketchup.

I'm going to try and meal pan to use them up and then will only buy what I use all the time.

I had crumpets and some mango chunks for breakfast. I am going to use up the rest of a jar of olives as a snack later. My husband will use up the jam today so that is two jars gone. I might look for a recipe to use up another jar today if I can.

It got quite cold overnight and had to use a lightweight throw on top of the summer duvet. Its more sunshine and showers here today which I think is the forecast for the next few days  :(

Leftover Kung Pao chicken for lunch with a crusty bread roll to mop up the excess sauce. Browsing through the "what are you making for dinner" thread I spotted goldfinches post and thought I like the sound of that carrot salad and will have a plain pork chop with it tonight.
