Bit of mixed day here, showers this morning, cloudy for a while before the sun broke through this afternoon.
Out for a walk early on and stopped by the butcher for some minced lamb on my way home. Had lamb kofta for lunch with pitta, salad and minty yoghurt leftover kofta in the freezer for another time.
Mixed bean chilli and brown rice for tea with some carrot and cabbage slaw on the side.

Another nothing weather sort of a day, although it did rain a bit this afternoon. Muggy in the office…
LO sausage and leek pasta for lunch. Just had usual early Tuesday tea of beans with toast, ready for swimming later. Need to make a couple of days of packed lunch before that.0 -
Farway shared the dull and indifferent weather with me 🙂 it tried to rain when I went out to water the greenhouse but it wasn't much
A pottering day at home doing not a lot 😁

Good morning everyone,
It was good night with the kids and my sis for DS1's birthday. The Chinese takeaway was delicious but not only did we over order they added several "freebies" so lots of leftovers. Everyone took away bits but I still have a fridge full of tubs. Some we'll use today/tomorrow and the rest I'll freeze for future quick lunches.
Chilly today with very heavy showers, we ended up lighting the stove last night as a fleece and socks just wasn't enough!
I took at break from the admin yesterday so must crack on today so I can complete the finance review before Monday's meeting.
CFO tonight, I'll stir fry some veg to have with LO satay. Chicken and sweetcorn soup for lunch.0 -
It is still nice and sunny here. I just went out to buy some ibuprofen and it is warm out.
I had a mango and banana smoothie and some crumpets for breakfast. I am about to clean out and organise my fridge, rather excitingly!0 -
Sunny here, cool breeze, which is ideal for those down at today's D-Day “do” in Portsmouth. Still going on I assume because a couple of Chinooks went over very low, to fly past I guess.Asda delivery arrived on time, only one out-of-stock item, salad dressing, so not a problem, posh French sparkling water subbed for cheapo Asda sparklingPosh Heck burgers were past Use By date, went OOD at midnightHowever, Asda have refunded the price, and I had one for lunch & the other will be dinner, so all's well in the endHad an unexpected invite for outing to local posh garden, & GC with Farm shop, café etc, nice limp around in sunshine, coffee etc, and of course came home with more blue cheese. I did ask for Brighton Blue, but he cut something else in error, so I'll try that as a change.Lunch & dinner, free Posh Heck burgers courtesy of AsdaEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Its been quite a nice day but starting to cloud over now - rain on the way methinks.
Like Farway I had some eggs to use up so hardboiled them for egg mayo sandwiches at lunchtime and there's enough leftover for tomorrow too

Sausage and brown sauce sandwich for lunch 😋. Easy dinner half pack of filled pasta from the freezer with cream cheese and parsleyLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Forgot to post yesterday. Still a chill in the air first thing at the moment here.
Agreed about the recipe N2BT and Brambling. I do a similar one with smoked salmon, watercress, creme fraiche and horseradish which has even less cooking involved 🙃
Meetings Wednesday yesterday, lunch was blue cheese waldorf grain salad. Prawn and broccoli Thai red curry and noodles last night.
Back later.0 -
It is very nice here again, quite warm and sunny.
