I'm starving! But the cat is lied on top of me and has been for over an hour, he looks like a meerkat! On his back with feet on my thighs ,and head under my chin.
Luckily tea is all cooked from Sunday new pots with carrots cauli and broccoli, just need to micro the lime and chilli salmon too.
Then another piece of ginger get sponge with custard.
I had the broccoli and cheese soup for lunch with a ham sandwich then 2 satsumas, yogurt and seeds.

Fingers crossed caron on things medically for you. It is a worry when doctors surgeries change things/close/whatever.

Would it be possible to type out details of what's what re your health and hand it in in advance and in person at the surgery - so you know they could/should have read about before you turn up in person?
    (keeping a copy yourself obviously).

I never cease to be amazed/not best pleased at just how often things one says verbally to someone "go straight through" and don't hit a braincell en route and get remembered:cool:. I don't know if the average doctor is a "better listener" than those most people "in the street"?? One would hope/think so....

Oh well food-wise - off to eat the second burger from that pack I opened yesterday as part of dinner tonight. I'm feeling noticeably hungry. This could be because I got out the YouTube video links again today and I've been power-walking my way through a video there. Whew! Well - it was a combination of bit cold (though I'd probably have gone out for a walk left to myself) but I was having to wait in again for a delivery and....you guessed it....it hasnt turned up. I was told, in writing, yesterday it would be with me today. Come halfway through the afternoon I was told it wouldnt be after all - and to select another date or they'd leave it with my neighbour (not the neighbour I've got they won't:eek::eek:).

Is being virtuous on the exercise front at the moment (well - I've got myself some motivation for that - if not mealplanning at the moment) and...so...I've duly sent off for a set of dumbbells (arms for the working on thereof)...

Have been so focused for the last 4 years on renovating house (in area where workmen are renowned for unreliability making it a lot more trouble than it should have been)/dealing with neighbour problems/making a New Life for myself that I'm all too conscious I need to do some Serious Work on my body to get things back to normal.

I was annoyed when l1dl stopped selling the 1Kg bags as those nuked OK ... started buying the 95p 1.5Kg bags and those nuke even better... so now I don't mind buying the bigger bags.

Meals don't really have names in my house... I graze and eat when/if I fancy and CBA.

Today's scoffs have so far been:

    2 hot sausage rolls
1 toasted bread roll topped with beans
    2 hot sausage rolls.

Ended up pushing the cat off! Or I might have started nibbling him.
I decided to slice the new potatoes into rounds put smoked paprika on and fry, so with the veg and salmon and a helping of tartare sauce it was yummy.
Had the sponge and custard and cos I needed chocolate 2 fingers of twirl.

another good night sleep, I am so thankful for that. It was always silent gerd that silently woke me but I have completely cut peppers out and shop bought bread of any sort and also highly likely to be soya, I have had good sleeps since I stopped soya. I will add some red pepper back in the future weeks, a test. Getting 7-8 hours all through makes me happy

Normal, for me, breakfast with hm yogurt. Lunch a lamb burger, stir fry veg ie garlic kale plus carrots and celery.

    Veg juice sometime, carrot/celery/beetroot/ginger/lemon
sometime, berry/apple crumble on its own

mid morning, hot toast with cheddar slice. Another snack, pistacheos and one cake slice. Last food, oatcakes with smeared peanut butter

I made more peasant bread yesterday evening, 2/3 peasant blend and 1/3 normal strong white, less yeast and less time. Looks nice, not as flat. Will start cutting tomorrow. These are heavy compared to supermarket fluff

I will be out on my bike before lunch, will set me up for the rest of the day. Veg and fruit box plus sundries are arriving today, back to AnC as more reliable and have more choice. Veg juice now to make more fridge room

We called someone in and he did find evidence of mice in the attic so at least that was taken care of! I didn't hear any scratching last night or the night before.

I've just had a cup of tea and a few spoonfuls of a new coconut yoghurt I bought yesterday. I'm not sure I like it that much, might add some fresh fruit to it when I have the rest.

I`m raring to go, veg juice made and enjoyed and I have washed up dried and tidied the kitchen and prepped kale and celery and garlic for lunch. I put the last of the lettuce in the juice, spinner is now ready for the new lettuce, which I will wash and spin before it goes in the fridge. All in case of cba. The bag of kale in my box will be nice, no white fly, not like happens when I grow my own. I ordered a special litre of milk for hm yogurt, guernsey which is naturally A2 and will make creamier yogurt

Trouble is that it there are patches of frost out. If I go out then it won`t be for 3 hours. In the meantime, I will wash and change and settle down to reading

You have inspired me to get back to making my own again. When I lived in a hot country, it just made itself, but now I have a yoghurt maker. Not sure whether all the jars are there though. My last dog had a long term health condition and the small jars were handy for wee samples. I'll leave everyone with that thought.... :rotfl:

    Good morning everyone,

    pineapple :eek::eek::eek: but needs must I suppose:cool:

MTSTM - good idea I'll type up a potted history thanks :)

Wednesday - at least you know it is "only" mice and with your pets hopefully they are only in the attic!

It's dull and damp here but mild and no rain as yet.
I'm taking it easy this morning as the med increase has kicked in and I'm feeling a bit sluggish. Need to get my proverbial in gear though if I want to get a trundle round the block :)

Last night's meeting went well thankfully and the committee have, I think, made the best decision around a couple of issues without any tears or tantrums so to speak;).

Beans and toast for lunch today as I have beans to use up from the other day. Tonight I'm having the last portion of liver & bacon casserole with cheesy mash. Both are in the freezer so not much by way of cooking for me today.

Caron - always a good idea to have a brief thing to hand in these sorta circumstances imo. Put into several bulletpoints basically - with the main things to remember made to stand out one way or another (eg put in bold). Am sure you'll know the idea. Thankfully - you come over as rather more "organised" to me than a (very intelligent - but NOT organised in a "month of Sundays") woman I tried to work this sorta thing out for before accompanying her to see a specialist about getting a benefit or summat. Whew - that was hard work with her. But I'm sure you "get the picture"....

Remember that Civil Service Main Rule thing = cover your back (with appropriate paper trail) at all times. LOL.

Onto food thoughts and have seen a recipe I might try for roasted red pepper sauce (ie it's meant to be a dipping sauce). One of the ingredients is "red pepper flakes" (half teaspoon worth for 2 portions). These "red pepper flakes" crop up in quite a few recipes and I still haven't quite figured it out. I know zucchini is courgette and eggplant is aubergine and can automatically translate from American to English - but I'm still not sure on that one and am guessing it's chilli flakes. I think I'm pretty au fait by now with using American recipes....but there's a few points that still puzzle me.

Can't recall if I've been wondering about that before - and it then slipped my mind.

Right - must do some more housework and then right now it looks like spring out there - so could be time for a "walk" as such this afternoon.:)
