Frank has definitely bounced back Caronc 😁 keeping you on your toes

The sniffles I had last week disappeared but my sinuses are complaining a little today and I woke a little headachy.  My sister was complaining that she was sniffy all week as well.

I sorted out the freezers this morning and checked the cupboards before menu planing for the week I needed a cuppa to warm my hands 🙂

LO pulled pork in a wrap with LO coleslaw and salad.  JOs chicken Kiev in filo with green veg and new potatoes for dinner

Foggy & grey this morning, supposed to be sunny but someone else must have my share, if the Sahara sand is up there no chance of seeing any red sunsets / rises while it's like this

Lunch, quite fancy a fish F sarnie, using the cheapo minced Pollock ones but may change my mind
Dinner, YS Marks sweet & sour chicken & rice MFO, it's out defrosting for stab & ping later.

  • It is dull and grey here too, I thought it was meant to be sunny today as well! I was going to go out with just a dress and trainers today, but the weather has other ideas. I feel like putting the heating on.

I'm about to make myself a coffee.

    Good morning everyone,
N2BT - like you I've given up on bought garlic bread and tend to use panini rolls or the sliced focaccia thins to make my own.
Chillier but dry here this morning after quite a wet & wild day yesterday. DS1 ended up collecting Frank late afternoon, a change of plans meant they weren't going out yesterday evening after all. They and their visitors had a late one a ceilidh the night before and reading between the lines were feeling a tad fragile!
Still on the admin mainly HR stuff but there's light (at least for this week) at the end of the tunnel after what felt like a bit of a slog last week.
HM soup and a sandwich with LO chicken/haggis for lunch. Macaroni and cauliflower cheese with HM garlic bread for dinner.
  • The garlic bread was so much better than shop bought, however now that I’m living in a flat with a shared stairwell I feel the need to be a bit more mindful of cooking smells drifting - always have the air freshener handy  ;)

Warm scotch pancakes and blueberries for breakfast, unfortunately I’m out of honey but will get some more up at next farmers market.

Leftover aubergine parmigiana and garlic bread for lunch  B)

For later I’ve made a batch of turkey meatballs, I was a bit heavy handed with the baharat spice but I’ll try calming it down with tzatziki, salad & pitta.

  • I had coffee without breakfast and then went out to look for a dress for this weekend in the charity shops around here. I ended up being out for 2 hours! I was so hungry when I got in that I had toast and crisps.

I need to make something proper for dinner. I have lots of food downstairs as I got a delivery yesterday.

  • Milder here again but honestly don’t know what the weather was like during the day - left and got home in the dark and don’t remember noticing the weather out of the rubbish office windows, been one of those days…

Portion of the pea and leek soup plus a cheese topped roll for lunch. Tonight I used the LO Chinese pork belly along with a red pepper and the rest of the pak choi to make a noodle stir fry thing (chow mein maybe?). Anyway was yummy and there are LO LOs for lunch tomorrow 😋

Stop talking about scotch pancakes N2BT 😁 although I haven't thought about freezing them which would save over eating them when I make a batch

JKS LOs of LOs the joy of CFO 🫣

Busy but not manic Monday, I was working on my own this afternoon but being my own boss meant I finished on time 😁

Banana and toothpaste outage meant a quick trip to Sainsbury after work I only had a very short list which I kept to, avoiding the meat and fish aisles so I wasn't led astray with any YSs which I don't need at the moment 🙄

Another BBQ pulled pork wrap with salad for lunch, one portion left.  Dinner was jacket potato with tuna mayo, sweetcorn and salad

At least the fog / mist has gone, still grey, but it's dry.
Made an early morning chocolate banana loaf to cheer the place up. Using up squidgy bananas & thought I'd experiment by adding cocoa powder, Looks & smells tasty, but it's still cooling so not sampled.

I was going to update my Asda list with marge + beach, but now there are warning notes about out of stock stuff on there, so I'll leave well alone and wait & see for tomorrow.

    Lunch, probably toast and ???
Dinner, another MFO RM, liver & Concannon mash. I'll add some frozen posh M & S mixed veg to it.

    Good morning everyone,
    Frosty this morning.
I've finally caught up with the admin.  :)
My sis is coming for dinner and we'll keep Ari overnight as she's away with work tomorrow. I started a chicken, chorizo and chickpea stew yesterday so not too much to do later. HM soup for lunch.
