I though I posted last night obviously not 🤷♀️
yay it's Friday 🙂 I woke with the sniffles and a cough this morning but that seems to have gone 🤞 hopefully it won't return for the weekend

I was feeling off after I had my filling. I felt sick and had a headache. The dentist said it could be a reaction to the anaesthetic. I was supposed to be going for a walk on the beach yesterday which didn't happen as I was in bed!
I did go for a short walk to clear my head last night and feel better today. It means that I am really behind on my steps and won't hit 70,000 this week.
I am about to have a smoothie and some toast. I'm going to make lentil soup later.

I hope you are feeling better Wednesday 🙂
Woke up to frost as well but the day turned out really nice when in the sun.My sister had another half price breakfast voucher for the local garden centre so she twisted my arm 😁 we were lucky we got there at 9.30 and there were two tables left by 10 there was a long queue,it is the last Saturday as it finishes on the 31st. A very good breakfast again and TBH £10 full price would have been good value so £5 was excellent as it also included a hot drink.
My sister needed some art stuff for work so we drove out to the art supply shop and she stocked up on their seconds.
Lunch not required. Dinner was pulled pork pressure cooked in cider, the pork from the freezer was Waitrose reduced shoulder from the meat count for £2 and cider was lurking in my cupboard, served in a bun with coleslaw, wedges, salad and corn of the cob 😋 there are pork LOsLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1 -
Nice to have a dry bright day at a weekend. Had a really nice pottering day just catching up with myself.Posh fishfinger sandwich for lunch and prawn and cherry tomato linguine with broccoli tonight.0

Dull start but sun's here now with promise of a fine day ahead, a bit breezy though.Completed the Asda list, I do like the Asda Rewards programme, they seem to have rewards on stuff I actually buy, unlike Morries who seem to avoid anything I buy. This week I finished up with a tenner off my total, which pays for the detergent & kitchen foil!Fresh rapid white loaf made in the Panny first thing, in time for lunch, which is boring old cheese sarnie againDinner, more on offer steak from Morries. It's sirloin this time, but I'll serve with AF chips & eggs, pus grilled fresh tomatoes.Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I'm feeling fine now thanks Brambling.
I went for quite a long walk on the beach yesterday and then had a pile of steamed veggies and gravy when I got in as that was just what I was craving. The beach was quite busy as it was sunny and mild weather and it looks nice again next week. I might go again to the beach after my bath.
I'm having a cup of cherry tea and will have a smoothie and toast again.2025 GOALS

Good morning everyone,
Forgot to post yesterday!
Back to very windy here this morning. It's apparently quite mild but doesn't really feel it.
We have Frank here, he's a handful and a half! I'm hoping post-neutering he calms down a bit.
I've a large pot of chicken broth simmering for week day lunches. We're having Balmoral chicken tonight, if there's any spare haggis I'll add it to the soup.

I couldn't get logged in yesterday, at one point it recognised me than as soon as I moved to another thread it said "it looks like you are new to the forum" so I gave up trying in the end.
I picked up a reduced price aubergine yesterday so defrosted a portion of moussaka mix and had that for my evening meal, tonight I'll use the rest of it in aubergine parmigiana and have it with some cavolo nero. I'm beginning to dislike the taste of pre made garlic bread slices so picked up a pack of two part baked baguettes and will try making my own using just half a baguette that should be a big enough portion for me.
I have a notion for some scotch pancakes, haven't made them for ages so I'll throw together a batch this afternoon, they will be handy for breakfasts and they do keep well in the freezer.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61

So mild out today. Got a load of towels mostly dry on the line (which I was happy with as I like them fluffed up in the dryer at the end anyway 🙃).
Spent far longer than planned watching the tennis this morning but did a load of voluntary admin “housekeeping” and a big pile of ironing while watching. I’ve also changed the bed, dusted and hoovered upstairs and up the stairs (IYSWIM), been for a walk and made soup.
Lunch was potato cakes, scrambled eggs and mushrooms. Made Chinese pork belly slices, gingery sweet potato mash and pak choi tonight 😋0
