Good morning everyone,
Another very cold and icy one here this morning, we had no more snow but a few showers of very lumpy rain yesterday evening which has frozen solid. I shan't be venturing far today. That said in town the pavements were okay yesterday, after the physio I popped to the fishmonger. Spent a fairly eye watering amount but it should keep us going for a good bit and the price per portion when you break it down is very reasonable for the quality.
Feeling pretty battered this morning but the physio could notice a big difference. I can increase the exercises and have another appointment in a couple of weeks.
My bedroom has got a bit cluttered so will make a start on sorting that out today if I can find my oomph. More tea needed first though.
Last of the soup for lunch and JO's one pan sausage pasta for dinner.1 -
Very hard overnight frost with blue sky & sunshine this morning, quite pretty if wrapped up, or in a carI ventured out earlier, my main mission was milk, secondary was mooching for garden bits, so it was Home Bargains for me.The milk was a fail, only had semi-skimmed and don't like that, but did find some garden bits I wanted. So left without milk, and then remembered on my way home that a new Food Warehouse has opened next door, to HB oh how easy it would have been to have just popped in. Kicks self for dopinessMeals, more grilled cheese on toast for lunchDinner, I was going to ping a Chines RM, but I have LOs so think it's a repeat of yesterday, grilled Bacon grill, mushrooms [fresh from Home Bargains], fresh tom, LO beans and HM AF chipsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I made a kind of quick curry last night with veggies (heavy on the carrots!) and a half packet of Tilda Masala rice.
I just had my usual tea and toast for breakfast.
It is very cold and frosty here too and so I have put off my trip to the charity shop to drop off a donation bag as I don't feel like walking too far. I do need to pop out to the shop, but I will just go the very close one! The frost will hopefully have melted a bit by then.0 -
For a very quick and cheap meal is: rice and fried egg with soya sauce as seasoning. The Chinese eat this sometimes with Spam as well.1

I will have rice vermicelli noodles in chicken stock broth with lettuce, mushrooms and Spam.0

👋 nachtvlinders. I made a variation of your egg fried rice tonight - no spam for me thanks so prawn and cashew here plus orange pepper, sugar snap peas, onion, garlic, ginger, chilli and Chinese five spice. Was yummy and I expect, un-recreateable!
Posh fishfinger sandwich for lunch when I got home from my offsite meeting. Followed by a frustrating work afternoon so finished pretty much on time and did some voluntary admin to redeem it. I’ve also done a load of washing (to make most of the heating being on) and been swimming 🙃0 -

I’ve also done a load of washing (to make most of the heating being on) and been swimming 🙃Normally, it's one or two meats, plus peas and ginger. Nothing more than that, but adding five spice too is definitely a no-no as that is for saucey dishes or marinading pork for making roast crispy belly pork. Well, at least you enjoyed it, that's the main thing!

Brrrr it's been a cold day 🥶 I hunted out the heated throw tonight and his lordship and I are sharing it🙂
Even with my screen cover on going out at 7pm took forever to sort the car as I couldn't find the scraper my hands were so numb when I finished and it was icing up again when I gain home just after 8pmBusy day at work with a hour meeting taking over twotoo many people on the call and we ended up going around in a big circle with no solution and another meeting booked for tomorrow 😞.
My meeting started at 1pm so lunch was a mug of leek and potato soup on the go and I took my lunch break at 4pm and finished work for the day then. Dinner was late for me as I had to go out so I had breaded haddock, AF wedges using a previously frozen jacket potato with LO runner beans and broccoliLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Hard frost again this morning, looks like more car window scraping for you BramblingMy only job for today is phone & order my repeat meds, tried yesterday but either no answer or engaged, seems my new pharmacy is too popularI took a pack of diced beef out to defrost last night, frozen last May so all part of my clear out freezer before buying moreGlad I did because of the frosty day, and a nice stew & dumplings is just what is neededI'll pop the stew in this afternoon, low & slow gas should get it yummy with a nice warm kitchen as a by productI can add some of the donkey food size carrots that came the other week, supposedly "sweet & crunchy". More likely to break your teeth unless you are a donkey!Lunch, not sure, may even open a tin of veg curry that I bought on offer

Good morning everyone,
Milder this morning though far from warm.
Feeling slightly less battered this morning so aiming for a more productive day today. Hopefully I'll get a start on bedroom decluttering, even if it's just a good tidy up.
LO pasta for lunch and posh fish finger sandwiches with mushy peas, pickles, tartare sauce and no doubt a few oven chips tonight.0
