Evening all another wet day but I'm not complaining as it has been quite warm

work wise today was very much like yesterday, quiet with just my manager and I working, one half hour meeting and a couple of brainstorming sessions to try and understand some technical emails  :)

lunch was blue cheese, pear and walnut salad.  Dinner was cba scrambled egg on toast as my chicken breast hadn't defrosted and I couldn't think of a alternative dinner  :)

Well, finally made it - that’s me done with work until 3 January. Between sickness and fallings out, I think everyone is ready for a break. I got the things I wanted to done and everything else can wait, some of the stuff people were trying to get done before Christmas was just ridiculous.

We were treated to yummy pizza from one of those artisan food trucks that parked up at work today so lunch was spicy pepperoni pizza 🍕. Tuna steak, ginger sweet potato mash and chargrilled broccoli tonight (trying to redress the balance 😉)

No CFOing for me for a few days so I’ll wish you all a very happy Christmas, enjoy it however you are spending it 🎄

Wet, windy & dull this morning, not a day for trudging round shops looking for sprouts

Yesterday's Asda delivery has taken a very odd turn.
It's all there & packed away without any missing items etc, but later I had an e-mail saying sorry we have had to cancel your order due to circumstances, with a link on how to re-order.
Very weird, and even weirder was a later message they have refunded my money, and it will soon be in my bank !
I have not checked my credit card account to see if I do have a refund, a bit too soon to show anyway.

Not that I mind a refund but even worse I guess someone has had their Christmas order cancelled & they are maybe unaware of this, especially if I now have their refunded money in my bank. No doubt it will work out in a few days

I'll be cooking my free, or not, turkey later today, getting it done early because of fridge space and I don't need it on The Day

Meals today, lunch, maybe scrambled eggs on stale bread toast
Dinner, by then the turkey should be cooked, so that will feature, could be with HM AF chips & salad, or if time & CBA maybe full on steamed veggies & roast spuds turkey dinner?

    Good morning everyone,
    How odd Farway!
Finally got my "to do" list for the next few days done, it seems very long but there's two of us to tackle it so not too daunting.
I had a lovely evening with my sis, it's very seldom that it's just the two of us go out so it made a nice change. Shouldn't have had that last glass of wine though I was a bit sluggish first thing though it wasn't a late night.
Today DS2 will bone the turkey and I'll crack on with a big pot of ragu for lasagne tomorrow night. I'm still not sure how many I'm feeding on Christmas Eve so will wait until tomorrow to assemble.
Dal, rice and naan for us tonight.
Not sure if I'll get online tomorrow so Merry Christmas everyone.

Dinner I cooked for the first time in ages crispy tofu with peanut sauce, rice, green beans and bang bang cauliflower.
    That sounds nice!:)

I just dropped off a massive bag of clothes etc... to a charity shop. I then walked to the shop where I thought I had bought incense as I am still not sure of my new area. I was right and I bought some incense as well as some dill flavoured lentil crisps I spotted. I went next door to Coop and bought some bread and choc chip cookies. Can you tell I went out before I had breakfast?! Lol.

I had two big slices of bread and marg when I got in. I think I will make chickpea salad later.

Last day of work until the 3rd 🙂 I though we might finish early but it ended up as the boss saying at 3am 'we won't work just monitor email' 🤔 which meant leaving the laptop on and checking them occasionally.  I dropped the turkey off at my sister after work, it was in my freezer and was defrosting in my fridge.

Waitrose delivery arrived 10 minutes early with 3 acceptable subs, 2 of which were a larger size. It was nearly 9pm and he was looking slightly frazzled.

lunch was a sausage sandwich with HP sauce.  Dinner chicken and bacon supreme with runner beans, sweetcorn and rice.  There will be LOs tomorrow

Grey morning, at least it's dry & mild

Turkey is cooked and in the fridge, I sampled a slice last night, and I'm still here, so I guess it's fine, all being well it's turkey dinner tonight, I had planned it for last night, but my appetite vanished so never did that

A bit like breakfast this morning, planned to have a bit of a fry up but went off the idea, so it was toast & posh jam instead

Made overnight timed loaf in the Panny, so that's bread sorted for Christmas

Lunch, pinches Brambling's idea and hope to be AF sausage sarnie + sauce, not HP though, will Mark's brown do?
Dinner, turkey & all the bits, roast spuds etc unless I go of the idea in which case could be just a turkey sarnie

Over DDs early tomorrow, including vegetarian Christmas dinner, which sounds quite tasty, mushroom Wellington and the usual nut roast, so wishing everyone a Happy Christmas and hope all goes well with whatever you've planned

I had no intention to leaving the house today, nothing needed so I stayed home 🙂

I cooked a gammon and beef joint to take to my sister for Boxing Day meals.  Whilst the oven was on I made some sausage rolls and some cheese scones for the freezer.

Lunch was a couple of sausage rolls which failed to make the freezer 😋 dinner LO chicken supreme and rice from yesterday

I hope everyone has a great Christmas

Back in CFO, at least the sun's out this morning, yesterday went well and did not finish up feeling "stuffed", very wet drive back in the dark, luckily just a passenger these days
Loads of food goodies as pressies, chutney, cheeses, crackers etc. Looks like not much coking will be required for a few days.

Started day as meaning to go on, a couple of W8rose posh bangers in AF for breakfast
Lunch, have to get stuck into the turkey, probably a sarnie, and freeze a leg portion. I gave the other leg portion to my omnivore granddaughter yesterday in her house with veggie parents
Dinner, not sure, turkey & HM AF chips?
