Dull & windy here, but makes no difference to me because I had nothing plannedA restless night, somehow I've cricked my neck and every time my head moves my neck stabs me, I even took a co codamol during the night which didn't really help, so I'm a bit limited right nowWhen I was at the dentist the other week, and I noticed the hygienist had increased to £60. I only used them once years back and decided it wasn't worth it for me, and it was not a painless experience either, so never used sinceMeals, lunch probably a cheese & chutney toastieDinner the LO YS steak slice with HM AF chips & maybe a bit of saladPS, a nice surprise in the post, my winter heating allowance is £500 this year, to be paid into my bank sometimeEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Good morning everyone,
My cold seems to be easing and I have so far had a lighter dose than my sis who has not long recovered from COVID. Unfortunately DS2 is now sniffly. That said we are all getting together this evening (keep the germs in house lol) for an Indian takeaway. Hopefully the spices will help clear the stuffiness.
Tesco due anytime and then it's back to the voluntary admin. another couple of sessions and I should be passed the halfway point and I might feel as though I'm getting somewhere!

Another grey and damp start to the day but brightened and warmed up this afternoon - another load mostly line dried 😉
Nice calm productive day wfh. Quite busy tomorrow so did my meal plan and small shop after work today.
Used the second half of the Lidl pouch of lentils for lunch with the end of the red pepper, the end of the avocado and a fried egg. Made sausage and fennel seed pasta tonight, quick and very tasty, served with broccoli.0 -
Good morning everyone,
Tipping it down here, DS2 and Hector have headed to here https://www.whiteleewindfarm.co.uk/ for walk with DS1 and their Dad. I'm not sure what Hector will make of the turbines!
Ended up being late in bed last night but woke at my usual time so I think a nap is on the cards this afternoon.

Damp overnight but sunny by the time I went for my Covid booster, despite a timed appointment there was a queue out of the door, which moved along steadily so all over in about 45 minutes from arrivalMy neck is still paying up but seems to be easing, only woke me up once but that seems to have triggered it because every time I moved it stabbed me
. I'm learning to keep my head still now & walking hunch backed, which seems to be the only position that doesn't hurt when walking
Lunch was fried bread with fried eggs & mushrooms, unhealthy but just fancied thatDinner is healthier, nuked LO Smash, poached defrosted smoked haddock & some saladBefore my cancelled Netflix sub expires, I have to settle down, maybe tonight, to watch the new "All quiet on the Western Front", supposed to be good & follows the book, but not for the squeamish apparently, a bit like "Saving private Ryan" I guess, the reality of war not the Hollywood versionEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
I hope the neck is a little better now Farway
Family dinner went well last night, only a little LO meat, my nephews and my nephew's DH have healthy appetites for slim people 🙂 the baby was on good form, its amazing how quick they bounce backI could have used a dog to hoover up around the high chair
at 7 months she likes to feed herself with her hands and is very fond of her veggies 🫣
my sister left this morning so I have the house back to myself 🙂 his lordship is happy as by Thursday every time he walked pass her he would give her his 'are you still here' look. After lunch I walked
into town for a hair cut it was a nice day and no need for a jacket
lunch was a omelette and some salad. Dinner LO sweet n sour pork from Thursday

Family dinner sounds lovely Brambling 😊
Started off damp and grey again here but, as promised, turned into a lovely sunny afternoon. Bit of pottering first thing but then got myself organised as it was hair cut and colour day followed by family meet up at local theme park, little ones looking very cute in their witches dresses and hats 🎃
Had a bacon and egg sandwich for brunch before I went out and then made chorizo, cabbage and new potato hash with poached egg this evening. Was ready for a sit down with Strictly and a 🍷!0 -
Brambling said:I hope the neck is a little better now FarwayThanks, it's much better, now I can turn my head without wincing, still a slight ache but much improved. And so far no problems with my Covid booster arm or bodyRaining earlier but drying out now, no sun thoughFreezer rake earlier to find dinner options, settled on posh Fish Fs and now defrostingLunch, thinking of use up sardine paste & salady sarnie, hardly exciting but will doDinner, the afore mentioned F fingers, with HM AF chips and may more salad, or frozen peasEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

After eating fairly healthily all week I ate so much junk yesterday. I'm still feeling a bit full up now. No breakfast yet.
I'm going to make soup later and I will buy some fresh bread when I go out. It was raining here so I will take an umbrella.

Good afternoon everyone,
Glad the neck has eased Farway.
Family dinner sounds lovely Brambling, I used to have an old large oil cloth that was placed under high chairs and messy toddlers!
Philly cheese steak was gorgeous . a naughty but very tasty treat.
Roast lamb shoulder tonight with roasties, yorkshires, various veg and gravy. My sis is joining us and will take a portion away for nephew to have when he finishes work so I'm not expecting much by way of LOs.0
