  • I had tofu scramble again in a pitta for breakfast with some clementines and a new (to me) herbal tea. Turmeric and orange. Quite nice.

It is a totally stay ay home day today. I'm about to have a bath and then get back into my t-shirt and leggings that I sleep in. I'm going to play fetch with my dog for a while and then I want to make leek and potato soup, make a chilli and read some more of my book.

I watched a film on Prime again last night. I think I might look for something spooky, but not too spooky tonight to watch.:)

Sunny & very mild, went to Marks as planned, plenty of YS this week, so I'm fully loaded with RN MFO meals for rest of the week.

I know Marks is expensive at times, but can also be cheaper at times, butter is £1. 75, Asda cheapo is now £2.15, mixed eggs £1 for six and the tomato purée, never in stock as at Asda was 50P [55 in Asda].
Funny in a way, I was mentioning inflation to check out lady and when I checked my receipt, the tom purée had increased to 60p in the time it took for me to get to checkout :o . Got my 10p back of course but even have to check receipts in Marks it seems, what is the world coming to? ;)

Meals, lunch, spoilt for choice now, I think grilled cheese on use up toasted crust + piccalilli
Dinner, one of my Marks YS, MFO RM chicken in red wine, mash & veg

Met my new neighbours just moving in, younger couple with two children, 5 & 8 I think they said, she's a teacher and tells me the kids are well-behaved, being a teacher I can believe that, DS is a teacher & his are well-behaved, must be some teacher secret

  • Very mild again here today, blustery and a bit rainy this morning but loads of sunshine this afternoon so another load line dried 😊

Out to a meeting this morning so avocado and scrambled eggs on toast when I got home (there was a Danish pastry consumed at the meeting 😉). Walked into town for milk and fruit when I finished work. Reheated spicy root veg and lentil stew after swimming tonight.

Catching up with Bloodlands series 2 the last few evenings - it’s a bit far fetched to say the least…

An exciting trip to the larger garden centre with two of my sisters today 🙂 we had a very nice xpcheese scone for brunch. The rest of the day was gossiping at my sisters house over cups of tea

Dinner was from the JO new book smoke salmon pasta, multiplied to feed two, it is one to make again and surprised my sister I don't think she expected to like it

Nice sunny morning, would be ideal for line drying

Today is a sort of financial day, online banking sorting out, meter readings, breakdown renew, probably cancel Netflix now I've caught up, and the rest is of little interest to me

Meals today are ready prepped, Mark's YS ones from yesterday
Lunch, Mark's YS MFO Fish & chips, with my LO mushy peas. The meal is only small, so ideal for lunch as a change
Dinner, the YS individual chicken pie, with HM AF chips & probably nuked frozen peas

    Good morning everyone,
Yes the one pan pasta dishes are brill Brambling
Grey and wet here today and I've picked up a head cold (thanks sis !) so feeling at bit blah. At least it's unlikely to be COVID as she's only just had it.
Pooch sitting x 2 today, one is snoozing peacefully, one is looking for mischief lol!
Lunch is tbc. HM Spanish style meatballs in tomato sauce with pasta for dinner.
  • We cancelled Netflix too a while back. We are with Sky in our new house as we used to be with Virgin and I have been watching TV shows and films that you get free with Sky the past week.

I had cereal with soya milk for breakfast and a cup of herbal tea.

I'm not sure what to have for lunch. We are having pizza for dinner so maybe something healthy is in order!

  • Damp and damp and grey here most of today but very mild, the office was unbearably stuffy 🙄

Lunch was the last portion of pea and parma ham soup out of the freezer with a hunk of bread. Made a harissa potato stew tonight with chargrilled tuna steak, served with broccoli. The stew was ok but needed a bit longer cooking I think, hopefully the frozen LOs will benefit from their time in the freezer!

We had lunch in a small Swedish cafe (not it's name but I never remember what it's called 🙂) cream cheese and smoke salmon open sandwich and a piece of lemon cake (with a Swedish name :D ) which was lovely and light and came with a little bowl of whipped cream 😋

Dinner was another JO recipe sweet n sour pork with peaches served with rice and tenderstem broccoli.  I'm cooking for the family tomorrow it's both my sisters birthday next week

  • I have the hygienist in a couple of weeks. I think it was around £45, which is slightly cheaper than what I used to pay in London. I know the price went up after Covid.

I have only had a cup of herbal tea. I thought I would really miss coffee, but I haven't. I think I am going to have the last two pitta bread with PB.
