Sunny day out, ideal for erecting a greenhouse Brambling, hope it goes well & meets your expectations

Had e-mail first thing, Asda cancel recurring slots over Christmas, so my cunning plan was strangled, however they do have Christmas slots open now for delivery pass holder [that's me], so jumped in quick and have one for AM Friday 23rd, costs £6.50 pick, pack & deliver but worth every penny to me avoiding manic Christmas crowds
I'll amend or delete as the day and offers gets closer, along with my booked W8rose slot

Also, email from Asda, my delivery tomorrow has low or nil stock items, more subs, but time will tell, luckily nothing critical, just stuff like tomato purée & fig rolls, I only added Fig rolls because I saw them mentioned and realised I had not had a FR for years

Meals today, salmon fillet out to defrost
Lunch, another corned beef & Branston sarnie
Dinner, the salmon fillet, fried in EVO & butter, with baby spuds & salad
Plus, found some frozen HM bread pud in freezer, a couple of chunks out to defrost for later

If you have an anytime delivery pass with Asda the delivery will be free as long as its over £40. I have the midweek pass so did my order for \thursday 22nd
  • Great news about the baby, Brambling!

Overslept this morning so felt out of sorts all day 🙄

Bit of a frustrating office day but a few bits achieved in between the chaos.

Lunch was spicy parsnip soup with toasted pitta. Made a yummy stir fry and noodles with some of the LO pork, veg and hoisin sauce 😋

My sister who is staying and I have very different political views! We agreed to disagree over lunch or it was going to be a interesting week, it still maybe  :# my other sister and nephew decided not saying anything was the best policy

lunch was gammon, coleslaw, Brie, salad and baguettes followed by melon and pineapple. Ihaad thought I may get LO gammon but my nephew joined us for lunch!

I pan fried salmon portions for dinner, cooked some new potatoes and we finished the salad and coleslaw

Dry and sunny sort of morning, and still mild

My 'flu jab after effects are still around, slight headache + stiff neck, and loss of appetite yesterday, just picking at what I fancy & finished up with a bowl of cornflakes last night instead of a "proper meal". I enjoyed the cornflakes though, Asda own, it's years since I had some and pleased to find just as nice as I remember

I do have delivery pass, mid-week, but I also have recurring slot, and it's those are cancelled over the Christmas period. Maybe it's a local problem, but every slot was taken or chargeable by the time I looked, hence my Hobson's choice of a chargeable Friday slot
UPDATE - Edited, after your comment I went back to check slots, and now there are free to me ones for the mid-week, so altered mine to Thursday 22nd as well. Thanks for the heads-up, saved my £6.50 :D

Today's' meals, lunch is last of the BLT sarnies, hope to be in Mark's tomorrow on YS mooch and maybe top up bacon
Dinner, unsure with my appetite, I do have this LO Smash mountain so maybe open a tin of corned beef for corned beef hash?
I'll decide nearer the time, always have the freezer & nuke a frozen MFO option

Well that's sorted then, the only comfort I drew was whichever one went through, they both know the Solent area is not all yachts and pink gins and levelling up can equally apply to the southern areas as well as north

    Good morning everyone,
Hopefully Westminster will settle down now and get some actual work down though I'm not holding my breath!
Dry but damp & grey here.
Internet still iffy but so far better than yesterday.  :)
Off with DS2 and Hector for dinner to my sister's tonight so a non-cooking day for me.  :)
    HM soup for lunch.
  • I had tofu scramble on toast for breakfast with a couple of clementines and some green tea.

I can't make leek and potato soup yet as I ordered the leeks in the shopping and I have a late delivery this evening.

i was thinking of making a very healthy green pasta for lunch today with broccoli and peas and blending up some frozen spinach with the pesto as a sauce.

  • Nice steady day wfh, spent a lot of it on a fairly simple but time consuming and rewarding task. Think I mostly enjoyed the peace 😅

Made the most of another gorgeous day and got two loads of bedding out on the line, simple pleasures!

Lunch was French style lentils with red pepper, avocado and some LO roast pork. Quick beans with toast before swimming tonight.

One very heavy rain shower whilst driving this morning but it then turned into a nice drive.  We drove out to a garden near where I work and wandered around after sharing a slice of lemon drizzle 🙂.

Late lunch at a pub on the way home so dinner was LO melon and pineapple

    Good morning everyone,

Stormy here today some of the showers have been torrential.
Sis made stovies for us last night, clean plates all round.  :)
Admin, admin and more admin today I'll be glad when all the accounting/auditing is done and dusted for this year.
Last of the L&P soup for lunch. Pork steaks defrosting for dinner, I've still to decide what to have them with.
