I hope the car won't be a expensive fix Farway

A nice sunny day 🙂 my sister and I walked into town for lunch at a really nice Swedish cafe which opened less than a year ago, my first visit although my sister has taken my nephew and his GF who's half Swedish. We will go back as there were so many things we wanted to try, we were very good and avoided the cakes but have decided next time to share the Sandi breakfast and have cake  :)

it was nice to wander around with no real agenda I brought a couple of on offer tops and we visited my youngest nephew at work 🙂

Dinner was the last of the veg chilli (the rest was frozen) it was only a small portion but that was all I needed

Finding it hard to get going this morning, no reason, just a bit lacking Ooomph, maybe it’s the dull weather today?

Plenty to do in a sort of admin way, a web site I run has vanished, well actually the hosting company has gone AWOL so that needs sorting, and I keep thinking about cancelling Amazon Prime but never get round to it. I may dabble in Sherwood having seen some of you like it, just found The Good Doctor on Now so plenty there to catch up on

Made a pre-mix loaf in the Panny this morning, cooling for lunch of a bacon sarnie

Dinner, I keep changing my mind, I have steak & I have posh fish fingers, whatever I choose will go with HM AF chips. The F fingers have the edge just now but that may change

Dull just about covers the weather here this morning as well although it did get brighter this afternoon and my washing dried 🙂

I visited a elderly friend this Mary to do a few odd jobs for her and catch up and came home bloodied thanks to the last quick job of helping her deflea her grumpy cat 😾 I job to just hold her  :# cat grew a extra set of claws and teeth, with scratches on both arms I decided his lordship can wait for his dose  :(

lunch was tuna salad at my friend's. Dinner was Korean pork fillet (marinated in soy, honey, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, chilli) with stirfry veg and rice

Forecast is a warm & sunny week ahead so looking like more salad than stew week

Highlight of the day is likely to be changing my bedding, unless I get a call from the garage of course but not expecting a quick job because they were pre booked busy anyway

I had the posh F fingers yesterday, and realised why I like them, could be same again tonight as I had them with salad & HM AF chips. The new lot of spuds are not much better at AF chipping than the last, but at least they go brown and are soft inside

Lunch will be last of the bacon in BLT sarnie

    Good morning everyone,
AWOL yesterday as had "the girls" round for lunch, it was a wonderful catch up and Hector was suitably admired. It was after 5 when they headed off and I was bushed. Gallons of tea were drunk, ailments discussed one has been recently diagnosed with Lupus and another with diabetes. Over catered slightly so lots of bits and bobs leftover for lunches this week. I've not not completely got my oomph back so feeling tired today, I think lots of gentle garden pottering will be the extent of it.
DS2 is cooking chicken methi for dinner, a new curry for us so I'm hoping it's tasty.

You'll like me Caronc, never knowingly under cater 😁 glad you had a good catch up

i woke up early so logged on and cleared the weekend emails before my 9am meeting started.  Other than the one meeting it was a nice quiet day work wise so lots caught up on 🙂 weather was lovely so I spent some of my lunch doing some gardening in the back to clear a overgrown bit at the bottom

lunch was some turkey and feta koftas in a quick flat bread.  Dinner was LO pork and rice

    Good morning everyone,
The sun's trying to break through and we are hoping to bbq tonight, no sausages though - lamb kebabs, veg skewers, baby spuds and flat breads. I'll make some tzatziki to go with it. My sis and her pooch are coming along, pooch will be delighted he's daft about lamb and I'm sure a small bit will find its way to him.  :)
Chicken methi was gorgeous a definite make again. There's LOs which have been added to the growing collection of fridge bits for lunches lol!

Another warm & sunny day ahead, more lunchtime pottering for you Brambling?

Garden pottering may also occur here, with maybe a handful of currants if the birds have left any, and if I can bend low enough some wild strawberries growing near a wall

Sorted out an Asda delivery for Thursday morning, I had planned to go to marks for some meat but now the car has conked out its back to beggars & choosers time, trying yet again for a fresh mackerel but have ticked the “No subs” box this time

Lunch, not sure, maybe a boring cheese sarnie

Dinner, continue in my rut & use up last of the posh fish Fs, with more HM AF chips & salad

Today was very much like yesterday 🙂 I managed a short time in the garden lunchtime as well, just some basic pottering, I need to tackle the japonica which is going mad and bullying everything else in that bed, but it has long thorns  :s I have tried over the years to kill it but can't dig it all up and cutting it down each year just encourages it to come back even bigger 🙄 will need to hunt out the thickest gardening gloves and remember the sleeves

lunch was LO turkey and feta koftas, I tweaked the recipe this time and prefer it so must make a note in the book  :) I made a quick flat bread, different yoghurt than usual and it didn't turn out quite how it should although it ate ok  :) with coleslaw and salad. Dinner was pan fried salmon, new potatoes, runner beans and broccoli. I cooked a extra salmon portion for salad tomorrow

Hmm, Brambling has just reminded me I was supposed to use up some coleslaw tonight 😂

Good evening everyone. Back to CFO after a few days of visitors here to help with garden and exterior house jobs…I’m exhausted - back to work for a rest tomorrow!

There were various bits left in the fridge tonight so I had chicken and crispy Parma ham salad with new potatoes (but no coleslaw). Have done a bit of meal plan for the next few days which 🤞should mean no shopping before the weekend.

I’ve now got things in pots that need looking after in the garden so looking forward to some pottering myself 🙃
