I hope you are feeling a little better Caronc  <3 chest infections are horrid things

Farway I use a small chemist rather than a SM one and agree they are better, although it was brought by a chain it has retained that and I know from people that they were really good when people were shielding

Today was very much like yesterday work wise, although it was exciting enough this afternoon that I had to make the tea or fall asleep  :#

lunch was another gammon and egg salad. Dinner a small cheese and tomato pizza with added veg and cheese, it was from Lidl and unfortunately not so good taste wise as the last one I brought in Sainsbobs which was cheaper, the base wasn't as good, but nice and quick when I got in after 6

  • Get well soon, caronc

Been a gorgeous day here, sunny and warm but not crazy hot like Friday. As I was wfh, I have been able to keep cool but also get some washing dry 😉

Fairly calm work day, all caught up from my day off, and just the one compulsory crisis halfway through the afternoon - keeps things interesting I suppose…

Did really well with YS items when I shopped yesterday. One of my bargains was a Higgedy quiche so had a piece of that for lunch (3 other bits popped in the freezer) with salad, beetroot, bread and butter. Swimming tonight so early tea of beans with toast, just a cuppa when I got in, whilst watching the excellent Sherwood 📺

Hope you are feeling better today Caron,I wonder if it could be non-registering on tests Covid similar to what I had, never know these days, luckily you have DS2 around to assist if needed

Your beans on toast sounds appealing JKS, with the hot weather I’ve gone off food for the moment, skipped dinner last night & just had cheese & crackers in the end

The alternative chemist hunt is going well, I asked on local FB for recommends, loads of them but one that sounds good is next to where I volunteer, free parking, open all hours but local not a chain, plus they can deliver and run repeat prescription service, all of which sounds ideal. I have blood test tomorrow morning so will pop in after and get the necessary consent form to complete, and have a Plan B if all is not as it seems. My old chemist closes end of July so a month to sort it and I have just topped up with enough pills to see me through until then

Meals today, for lunch it’s the other PB baguette wit BLT filling

Dinner, could well be beans or tinned spaghetti on toast, I have a few freshish mushrooms that need using sharpish so may fry them up and add on top

  • Another gorgeous day here, shame I was at work. Spent most of the day offsite in a few meetings then dashed to the office for last meeting of the day.

Did at least get an actual lunch break but with nowhere to go, I just tried to do today’s Wordle (got completely stuck but did it later). Lunch was tuna and lentil salad, dinner was bacon, egg and asparagus salad with new potatoes.

    Hope you’re doing ok, caronc.

I hope you're feeling a little better Caronc and are taking it easy

Another day in the office and a working lunch.  I drew the short straw and agreed to get lunch for the next couple of days on the way in, my shopping list included some kitchen supplies and biscuits, wasn't impressed with £40 which will take a while to be paid back 🙄

lunch was a prawn sandwich and I remembered why I don't buy SM sandwiches 🙄 JKS reminded me that I had some Higgedy salmon quiche in the freezer (also YS 😁) I AF some for dinner to defrost and had with salad and new potatoes

‘morning all, quick visit as I’m on the way for my blood test, then shops for a loaf & milk, plus the all-important pop in new chemist for a consent form

Lunch, BLT once I have the fresh loaf

Dinner, still not very hungry, I have a RM macaroni cheeses lurking so may just nuke that

Hope you're not too poorly Caronc and the pup is letting you rest  <3

Another busy office day, working through lunch means we missed the sun shine as the promised storms turned out as a slight shower on the way to work

lunch was SM sandwich. We went out for dinner before our visitor flies back on Saturday I was glad we didn't have to pay as I wasn't very impressed with anything 😐 and my colleague sent back her risotto as it was hard and watery 🤢 and when we arrived at 6pm we were told we had to be out by 8pm which they didn't say when we booked.

Last day in the office tomorrow for a few weeks, it's been a tiring week

  • Slightly frustrating office day for me, always get embroiled in things when I’m there 🙄. Oh well, wfh tomorrow so can catch up in peace.

More of the lentil, tuna and roasted pepper salad for lunch. Due to being slightly saladed out, did salmon, new potatoes, green beans and asparagus tonight.

    Good morning everyone,
Thanks for the get well wishes.
I've only had a quick read back so apologies if I've missed anything.
Sort of back in the living after a rough couple of days aggravated by a vertigo episode. Still feeling pretty grotty but antibiotics have kicked in. There was a mix up with my prescription and it was Wednesday lunchtime before I got them which probably didn't help.
Tesco are due in a bit and then I'll probably slope back to bed.
Food remains tbc, I was supposed to be being treated to a "posh" takeaway this evening and we had plans for a family bbq tomorrow but suspect both will be postponed for a couple of weeks.

Welcome back Caron, even if just temporarily for Tesco delivery before back to bed

Weather has turned cooler and dull, just wish it would get on and rain properly instead of half-hearted spits & spots, I was feeding & watering first thing this morning

Sorted my new chemist out, bit worrying was they just asked my name and within a flash had all my details up, NHS computer knows more about me than I thought, Big Brother is way behind

Had a spot of luck yesterday, after I had collected my prescription I went into Costcutter and there was a YS fresh chicken for two quid which became my dinner once roasted

Meals today, roast chicken sarnie for lunch

Dinner, cold chicken & HM AF chips and maybe open a tin of beans
