I'm envious of you long weekend JKS 🙂
work was less manic today and I finished 5.30pm, there are still IT issues but there are work arounds in place and there will be a mess to clear up once resolved
lunch was a fish finger and rocket roll. Dinner the last of the chicken with bacon in a creamy pasta sauce with pastaLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Early start because I was friend taxi tothe Hard, Portsmouth for them to catch the London coach. How do the coach company do it? £25 return Portsmouth to Manchester? At current fuel prices I’d hardly get to Newbury for that.!!!
At least I had some fresh air and a slow walk round taking photos while waiting for coach. Back in time for lunch of last of the pate on toast
Dinner, with my fishy meal plans scuppered and tomorrow forecast is scorchio I’ve put the cheapo chick in to roast today instead of tomorrow, kitchen will be hot enough as it is
All being well dinner will be warmish roast chicken, boiled baby new spuds + salad, which will leave lots of LO chicken for the next few days

Good afternoon everyone,
I've been up since 5am and I'm shattered. Pooches have been okay but hard work. My nephew has his one out for a long walk just now and small fry is snoozing so time for lunch and a cuppa. LO pasta for lunch and tonight it's Thai green chicken & veg curry.0 -
Quite warm here today so another stuffy office by the end of the day, slightly less manic today and chaired two productive meetings. Slept really well after swimming last night but as I don’t bother setting an alarm anymore, getting out of the house was a bit of a rush!More couscous and chickpea salad for lunch (with the feta today 🙃). Made a gnocchi, butternut squash and mushroom traybake with pesto tonight - was ok but won’t rush to make it again. Roasted the rest of the squash with cumin seeds and chilli flakes while the oven was on.0

I slept badly last night , combination of too hot and a painful hip
so I was tired and slightly grumpy today probably just as well I was at home rather than the office
lunch was egg Mayo and cress wrap. Salad with tuna Mayo and a few prawns for dinner as it's too hot too cook much and a few new potatoesLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good morning everyone,
No heatwave here, it's far from warm and it's absolutely tipping it down. Neither pooch is impressed! (Can't I'm that enamoured either lol)
Yesterday on my own with both pooches went as well as it could but I was very glad to see DS2 when he arrived back yesterday evening.
Today's challenge is to manage the Tesco order without either pooch escaping as DS2 is in a meeting, hopefully it will be easier than I'm imagining and if need be Hector will be put in his pen and Ari popped on the deck!
Pork pie salad for lunch and dinner is tbc possibly a takeaway.

'morning all, Up and watering the pots early before the sun gets baking us down here, glad I cooked the chick yesterday now. Actually being the cheapo one it’s not bad TBH, quite meaty and plump, four meals at least out of it and if I were proper MSE no doubt a few more via curry / soup etc.
Sounds like you’ll need rest soon Caron with the pooches, and with the rain damp dogs maybe?
Meals for the day, lunch grilled cheese on toast to use up a stale crust, blob of Branston on top
Dinner, cold roast chicken + salad with HM AF chips. The posh subbed coleslaw is very nice but not sure I’d pay 94p extra [£1.35 V 41p], nice as sub though

It's been very hot here, I know I shouldn't complain about it but ...... heat and hayfever don't suit me
at least all my washing was done and dried, I'm in the office all next week and it is going to be a long week, so it was a opportunity to get it all done and put away 🙂
Lunch was the last of the eggs I boiled yesterday as they needed using with salad in a wrap. I had some really cheap YS turkey breast mince in the freezer which TBH I rarely buy but it was cheap 😁 I freeze in half packs, nice and flat. I tweaked a recipe for turkey and feta kofta and added lots of fresh herbs and chilli, and made some coleslaw and potato salad 😋

Very hot here too, if only it wasn’t so extreme Brambling…I’ve mostly stayed inside but did get 3 loads line dried - really quite windy as well here so perfect for quick drying.
Steady work day with on time finish and not got to log on again until Tuesday 🙃
Lunch was falafels and feta with salad and Greek yoghurt in a pitta. Turned some of the roast butternut squash into a pan hash thing with mushrooms and spring onions, topped with a fried egg for dinner. Not very summery but used up lots of bits.0 -
Struggled to sleep last night, too hot of course but that enable me to make an early start up to water the volunteer gardens large pots, all done and home by 1030
Still hot but dull with a few spits of rain and the wind is getting up, it’s the sort of weather that produces bright red lobster folk who take their tops of not realising how burning it an be
Lunch was grilled tinned sardines on toast
Dinner, toying with attempting Coronation chicken now I have everything to hand including my cooked chicken, with HM AF chips & salad
