A restless night I think due to Blue Stilton on its end date, tasted OK but I had tum ache most of the night with usual results later. Pills taken and seems settled now, just have to be wary of what I eat today
A very frosty morning with bright sunshine. I had planned to pop out for bread & milk then onwards for a bit of photography, but with tum troubles I think loo accessibility has to trump my plans for today, let’s see what tomorrow brings
Skipped breakfast & just had a cuppa
Lunch, probably a tin of soup with AF croutons, easy & not too hard on the tum
Dinner, something frozen & pinged, as yet TBD but not a curry with current circumstances, could even be a repeat tin of soup with AF croutons? Or scrambled eggs on toast sounds ideal CFO invalid food, maybe a fresh tomato alongside for a bit of virtue signalling

Good evening everyone,
Hope tum is better now Farway.
I've been out for most of the day at a funeral some distance away. It went as well as these things can but my it was so cold. I'm only just beginning to warm up! A very late lunch was a steak bake from Greggs.Dinner will be salmon, sweet potato wedges and salad.

Beautiful sunny but cold day here. As I was wfh, I got out for a walk at lunchtime to run a couple of errands.
Also had a productive work day (eventually, it didn’t start too well) and been swimming this evening. I should sleep well 😉
Lunch was filled pasta, some cold roast chicken, peas and sun dried tomatoes. Made a chicken egg fried rice thing after swimming, with some red pepper and cabbage chucked in - was surprisingly tasty. Rest of chicken portioned up for the freezer before I get bored of it…0 -
I hope the tum is feeling better Farway
TBH I had never thought of issues with cheese when OOD
It was a very cold start I was glad I didn't need the car for work, although I went out at 7pm tonight and had to scrape it inside and out and again when I came back at 8.30pm. My sister is borrowing it as hers is in the garage tomorrow
lunch ended up as a small portion of bubble and squeak with a poached egg on top. Dinner I decided I needed something more warming then planned so I freezer dived for a portion of casserole goat shrank with pearl barley and veggiesLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Tum has improved and all back to normal now, however still can’t pop ouit for bread & milk because I have a package due today so waiting in for DPD van, I decided to splash out on a heated “throw” for proper snuggling down with Netflix
Very frosty this morning, and a good test for my heated throw when it arrives, my computer tells me rain is coming
Today’s meals are going to be easy again, lunch open another tin of Cream of Tom soup, Heinz this time, it was Asda own brew yesterday, which was Ok but I think H’s may be belter, I’ll see. The AF croutons will be repeated, so easy in the AF
Dinner, I think frozen fish & HM AF chips. The fish could be the long lurking & lingering fish fingers, just to get them used up & more space. They’re good ones but not “Posh”. Probably with frozen peas

Good morning everyone,
Glad tum has settled Farway
After a very cold but bright day yesterday it's turned to cold, wet and miserable here today. I'm glad it was yesterday we had to travel up the coast to attend the funeral as the clear weather made the most of the gorgeous views.
I'm horribly unsteady on my feet this morning probably a combination of changing weather and travelling yesterday. I've not much to do today that can't wait if need be so I'll take it slowly and hope it sorts itself out as the day goes on.
Lunch is tbc, probably a toastie, and I've chicken defrosted to make a Thai green curry tonight which we'll have with rice and salad.0 -
Glad tum is settled Farway, please let me know how you get on with the throw as I've been looking at them 🙂
there was a hard frost overnight, no car to scrape I could appreciate how pretty it looked 😁
lunch was a couple of YS M&S Japanese favour chicken thigh skewers from the freezer very tasty but I would only pick up again if YS as £1.50 for 4 was good value but full price they were about £4 a pack. I made a small salad to go with them, two left for tomorrow
Dinner was a crab and fennel risotto 😋 I added a small tin of brown crab meat in with a tin of white crab meat to add more favour. A veg box rummage produced a sad red pepper and some mushrooms which went in as well. It was finished off with chopped parsley and capers. There are also LOs 🙂Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good morning everyone,
I love the sound of your risotto Brambling.
Sleet and hail here today, some of the showers during the night were really fierce.
Tesco are due soon and I'm pooch sitting this afternoon, apart from that I've very little planned.
LO curry for lunch and dinner is tbc probably breaded haddock and a baked spud.0 -
Just as I was thinking of going for milk this morning the heavens opened, so will see how it goes later, sun is out for the moment, sod’s law of course
The heated throw arrived on time, and very cosy snuggling trials were completed last night. Now I’ve moved onto new grocery online order, had started with Asda but plumped for W8rose now my delivery pass has expired and if its £3 anyway I may as well get some decent meat in while I’m at it. Due on Sunday around noon
Meals today are in hand, lunch probably grilled cheese on toast + Branston
Dinner, M & S creamy veg curry out defrosting and will nuke later. It was one I bought pre-Christmas but failed to use so froze it, allegedly can’t be heated well from frozen so as I have time I’m not taking the chance of it curdling or such like
With milk outing postponed I’m having a free browse around the 1921 census, no details without paying but so far everyone is where I expected them to be so unless a curiosity turns up I’ll keep using the free bits, still waiting on my Y [male Line] DNA test upgrade results so may have a combined go once they arrive

I like the sound of Brambling’s risotto too 😋
Forgot to post yesterday - long, busy day…lunch was more butternut soup with a toasted pitta (office day) and dinner was salmon with broccoli pesto pasta.
WFH day today so scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel for lunch. Just had a pizza made with a Loyd Grossman base - as well as tomato purée and mozzarella, I chucked various bits from the fridge on - mushrooms, red pepper and chorizo. Knocked up some coleslaw to go with it but realised I had no onion 😂, added some lime juice and mustard to liven it up a bit…
Glad it’s the weekend, been a long short week!0
