Blah work day 😐 servers issues at 1pm and we were told half hour system down time at 2pm whilst they rebooted them, they finally came back up at 8.30pm with the help of 3 different IT teams, once we finished testing it was a 9pm finish 🙄

Lunch was a portion of ratatouille from the freezer, I pinged it about 3pm and ate over my laptop.  I didn't fancy eating at 6.30pm when we had a gap so at 9pm I AF a couple of goat cheese and herb filo triangles from the freezer and one filo parcel which contained some LO lamb with the goats cheese, I wish I could remember what else went in it as it was very tasty.  I did also eat the Trick or Treat sweets I brought to give to the little girl next door 😬 I don't usually do T or T but I did with her last year as they were all shielding so she couldn't go out she has just turned 6, that will teach me to be organised and buy some when they were on offer

Tomorrow night will be a large G& T after work

    Good morning everyone
G&T tonight sounds well deserved Brambling
Proper windscreen scraping frost here this morning and still only 5C. It's nice and sunny though so happy to wrap up. My sister's pooch is less than impressed, he was in and out in no time this morning, usually he likes a good sniff about.
Housework today and a grocery delivery later and that's about it.
Cauli soup for lunch and freezer rake for dinner.

The PC has gone into a coma with just one light blinking and will not wake up. I'm now back on the old PC which is as quick as treacle :'(

Luckily I had finished backing up before the PC died so although it's a PIA it's not a catastrophe
I'll take the covers off over the weekend and give it a hard staring and poking at, I have one trick to try which is the small motherboard  battery, could be low and need replacing.
Some mutterings about BIOS but that was where my eyes glazed over. It's cheaper than another PC so worth a try frist

Lunch was LO tin of tasteless Asda ham, with Branston in a sarnie
Dinner, the other triangle tail end salmon fillet, with boiled baby spuds, steamed broccoli & carrots

Another silly day work wise, servers were still playing up and although we had systems they were dodgy and not talking to each other, not what any of us needed on a Friday  🙄 we got off at 5.45pm so not too bad but the manager was still sorting stuff when we finished.  Large G&T is being supped 😁

hope the PC isn't terminal Farway 😬

A freezer dive produced falafels which were AF for lunch and had in a wrap with salad.  Dinner was egg fried rice and vegetables with a small tail of salmon diced and stirred through

    Good morning everyone,
Hope you can get your PC running Farway.
Damp and dreary here today after a lovely, though chilly, day yesterday.
We're off to DS1's for dinner tonight and DS2 is making focaccia to take along. I just need to pitch up. :)

Nice & sunny today, still on the old treacle driven computer, I had a go at the newer one, cleaning card edges & slots, shuffling RAM around and and did manage to get it gasping but it's collapsed back into a coma again :( and I've run out of ideas & will to live for the moment.
However a replacement is under £140 so paying for a repair may not be cost effective if new parts are required, a dilemma I'm on the horns of :/

On the brighter side it's sausage Saturday :D
Lunch was sausage + brown sauce sarnie:smile:
Dinner, has to be bangers N mash, with tinned baked beans

That should leave plenty of raw sausages left for the sausage & bean casserole thing tomorrow

  • MIA yesterday as out yesterday evening. It was a wfh day so managed a swim. Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel for lunch afterwards.

Last night (out) was a pre-cinema burger and 🍷

Nice domestic day today, few bits done but also relaxed - it’s been a long week. Lunch was quiche and baked beans. Just had naan bread pizza, coleslaw and salad in front of Strictly 💃

I hope you had a good family dinner Caronc 🙂

At that price Farway maybe just as well buy new.

I walked into town with my sis for lunch today and we wandered aimlessly trying to find a birthday present for one of my elder sisters without much luck, totally without any ideas we have 10 days before she comes up so I need to get my thinking cap on 🤔 it was a bit drizzley when we wandered around and all we ended up buying was dishwasher tablets on offer in Savers and bananas

lunch was a bacon sandwich.  Dinner was a small cheese and tomato pizza from the freezer with added veggies and extra cheese, i also sat in front of strictly to eat it.

Dull weather today, but today is banger & bean casserole day so ideal for it

Great minds etc, it's on the way, arriving this Wednesday to Friday. I have most of my data, images etc backed up anyway and hopefully will be able to pull the rest off the dead one once I remove the drive, even if not there's nothing world beating there to worry about losing

I have my only yellow cherry tomato ripe this morning, a very poor show this year so I'll need to savour this one

Lunch, yet again following JKS, it'll be scrambled eggs on toast with mushrooms, and maybe a fresh tom, not my HG though
Dinner, the sausage & white bean casserole, but without crumble topping, I'm thinking of lobbing some herby dumplings in

    Good morning everyone,
I had a fab evening visiting DS1 & DIL-to-be. Their flat is gorgeous and DS1 had gone in full chef mode with the food. We had sous vide lamb two ways (leg & rack), parsnip & parmesan puree, roasted broccoli & tomatoes, boulangerie potatoes and gravy. For pud DIL-to be made a layered apple cake with miso caramel and homemade biscoff ice cream. It was all gorgeous.  :)  I'm not a huge fan of salted caramel but I really liked the miso version much more subtle. They used the biscoff spread for the ice cream but didn't add any other sugar so it wasn't too sweet.
The stairs (all 62 of them!) were a challenge but I'm glad I managed it.  :)
The weather was hideous yesterday evening, poor DS2 was glad to get off the moors as the wind and rain were battering so a lot of spray and muck. It's still horrible today so I don't think either of us will be straying far.
The weather was okay yesterday afternoon so we put all the garden furniture etc. away for the winter. I can't see the remaining summer blooms lasting much longer.
Chicken thighs tonight though I've yet to decide what to do with them.
